Chapter 3 Nightmare

After entering the living room, Shirley placed the boy on the carpet and knelt to examine him.

She was surprised that the boy was even more handsome than most child stars. It must be a heritage from his parents who might be very gorgeous, too.

"Shirley, how dare you put Mr. Roberts's son on the ground?" Evelyn shrieked as she pointed at Shirley.

Shirley ignored the scream and focused attention on the boy whose face and neck were red in patches. She was too familiar with such a symptom. Without looking up, she asked, "Are the boy's parents here? Does he have an allergy?"

Johnson walked up to her.

When this woman rushed in, his heart missed a beat. He had never seen her before, but she reminded him of the woman who he had been entangled with on nights several years ago.

His eyelids drooped. When Flynn wanted to speak for him, he raised a hand and replied in person, "He's allergic to dog hair."

The voice sounded very familiar to Shirley.

She lifted her head in confusion and was then stunned by what she saw.

The man's appearance and temperament came as an amazement to her.

Since she was kneeling, his tall figure appeared much imposing to her. Under the bright light, he was just like a gorgeous god in Greek mythology.

But what shocked her even more was that...

This boy was also allergic to dog hair like Alice!

And she, too! The doctor said it was hereditary. What an unbelievable coincidence!

But she resumed her calmness immediately and drew her attention back to the boy. "Good to know that. I thought it was type 1 diabetes."

Johnson couldn't help having a look at her.

Oh?

She knew not only allergy but also type 1 diabetes?

He began observing this woman.

Her face was small with delicate features, though the red mark on it seemed more eye-catching. Her hair was casually tied up and her curvaceous figure was shown through a simple T-shirt and pants. In general, she was an attractive lady.

Evelyn was driven crazy.

Johnson was gazing at Shirley regardless of his son or what was applied on his son's face. That irritated Evelyn very much.

She said instantly, "I'll call a professional doctor over now." Then, she turned to Shirley and threatened maliciously, "Shirley, put away your thing right away! If the boy has an accident, you must be responsible for it!"

But it was embarrassing that nobody paid any attention to her.

Even Johnson had no intention to stop Shirley. He seemed to trust her very much, letting her cure his son without worry. Only an idiot would interrupt her at this moment.

The other Smiths exchanged a look at each other. Although they were reluctant to let Shirley steal their thunder, they could do nothing about it.

With patience, Shirley applied the medicine on the boy's face and neck again and again until the redness disappeared. Only then did she sigh with relief. "He's fine now. But you'd better help him take a bath as fast as possible. If he relapses, apply this on his face and neck."

Shirley handed out the medicine, but the man remained unmoved. Since the man was too tall, she didn't bother to look up at him and stuffed the medicine bottle into his hand directly.

Hot.

This was what she felt when she touched his hand.

It was as scalding as the body that had tortured her for nights several years ago.

She shook her head slightly. It had been a long time since then. Why was she still caught by that nightmare?
