Chapter 2 You Think You Can Leave Me?

The Elder Master sized Ashley up and down and then looked at Leonard. "If so, since you two have slept with each other, you should be a responsible man. I think you two should go and get marriage licenses today."

The Elder Master's expression was severe, and his tone of voice was grave. Leonard's marriage had been his headache for years. It was rare that a woman appeared by Leonard's side. Therefore, the older man was in a rush to push his grandson into marriage.

Ashley opened her eyes wide in surprise and tilted her head slightly. Leonard was still holding her shoulder with his hand. The woman felt like she was still in the dream that she slept with her idol, and at present, her idol's grandfather forced them to get married.

"Girl, you have nothing to worry about. My grandson won't dare to make things difficult for you in the future. If he does, tell me, and I'll back you up." The Elder Master was delighted with Ashley, who looked smart and obedient.

"No, I am not his girlfriend..." Ashley came to her senses. Though Leonard was her idol and a man she wanted to approach over the years, she found it ridiculous to marry him in such a hurry. In her eyes, marriage was a life-related significant matter, no matter how.

Leonard tightened his grip on Ashley's shoulder and turned to stare at her pale, pretty face. "You think you can leave me after sleeping with me?"

The Elder Master and those doctors and staff all widened their eyes open in shock.

Ashley's face blushed all over, and she looked into the man's dark, cold eyes. "I, I didn't mean to..."

In fact, she just wanted to figure out if her idol was gay at her classmates' instigation.

"Girl, it's okay. I'm in charge of this. Leonard has to be held accountable and marry you. The Bryant Family won't treat you unfairly." Learning that Ashley had slept with her grandson, the Elder Master beamed with joy and liked the young woman even more as she literally helped him get rid of the long-term sore point in his heart.

Ashley hurried to shake her hands and head. "No, no, that's not necessary. I've just graduated from college and don't want to get married so early."

With his brows furrowed slightly, Leonard, regardless of the Elder Master and the others, abruptly leaned over to Ashley. "If I remember correctly, it should be your first time last night. Since you are already my woman, you shall not think about hooking up with other men. As long as something is mine, even if I don't like it, I won't allow anyone else to put their hands on it."

Ashley looked at the man with an overbearing tone of voice in front of her. He had a face that could fascinate a lot of women and countless wealth. But these were not the reason Ashley liked him. She adored and admired him because she knew that he was not only talented but worked hard.

"Are you really going to marry me?" Ashley was flustered and hesitant. Although she liked Leonard as an idol for a long time, she never thought about marrying him.

Leonard used to have no interest in women. However, given what had happened last night and the pressure coming from his family and those of the Bryant Group's shareholders, he decided the woman in front of him could help him solve the trouble. Besides, she was his first woman, and she tasted nice.

As Leonard did not respond to Ashley, the Elder Master threatened his grandson by saying, "Leonard, if you dare to let the girl down, I won't allow you to come back to the Bryant Family."

Leonard glanced at the Elder Master, then looked at Ashley and nodded, "Let's go to your home to get the household registration and get the marriage licenses from the Civil Affairs Bureau."

"Girl, where is your home? I'll ask the driver to take you back." The Elder Master asked excitedly as his grandson was going to get married.

"My household registration booklet is in my bag." Ashley pointed at the backpack on her back with embarrassment.

Ashley was not a local in Sea City, so her household registration booklet was with her. As she graduated from college the day before, all the important documents were put in the bag.

"That's great. You two go to the Civil Affairs Bureau now. I'll ask someone to bring Leonard's documents over there." The Elder Master was so excited that he almost lost track of his words, then, he immediately called someone to send the needed documents to the bureau.

A trace of doubt flashed in Leonard's dark eyes. He looked at Ashley, wondering if this was all a coincidence or not.

"Hurry up to get changed and go to the Civil Affairs Bureau immediately." The Elder Master urged Leonard, worrying that his grandson could change his mind at any moment.

Leonard glanced at the Elder Master before returning to the room to change clothes.

Standing in the doorway, Ashley looked somewhat awkward. The idea of getting married to her idol made her flustered and nervous.

"What's your name?" The Elder Master liked the girl at first sight and smiled lovingly.

"My name is Ashley Powell." Ashley smiled at the older man, who looked in his sixties, had white hair and wrinkles around his eyes and brows. But the kind look in his eyes relieved Ashley slightly.

"Ashley Powell. A nice name, isn't it?" The Elder Master nodded with a smile. "From now on, you are my granddaughter-in-law. If Leonard dares to let you down, you tell me, and I'll teach him a lesson."

Ashley let out an embarrassed smile. "Thank you, Grandpa Bryant."

After Leonard changed his clothes, the Elder Master followed them to the Civil Affairs Bureau. The butler also delivered the household registration booklet there, and the Elder Master watched the couple get their marriage licenses unblinkingly.

"Grandpa, are you satisfied and happy now?" Seeing the Elder Master read the marriage certificates again and again, Leonard revealed a helpless expression. "If there is nothing else for me here, I'll leave for the company."

Leonard wanted to take back the marriage licenses, but his grandfather stopped him from doing so and looked at him. "I'll keep the certificates for you two. Also, I'll show them to your grandmother."

"Grandpa, these licenses are ours. Why should you keep them for us? Don't you and Grandma have your own marriage certificates?" A gleam of light flashed across Leonard's eyes. He was so clever that he immediately guessed why his grandfather wanted to do so. He must be worried that Leonard and Ashley would get divorced, so he decided to keep the licenses on behalf of the couple.

"Kid, don't think I don't know what you're thinking. You are married to Ashley now, so you have to be responsible to her for a lifetime and never let her down. I'll keep the certificates for you guys until your relationship gets stable. By then, I will return them to you." The Elder Master was also smart. Then, he turned to look at Ashley. "You and Leonard are a registered couple, and you're part of the Bryant Family now. Let's have a discussion soon to decide on the timing to meet your parents and hold a grand wedding for you two."

"Wait a moment." Leonard interrupted the Elder Master with a frown." Grandpa, let's talk about the wedding thing later. I've been swamped with work recently and got no time to deal with other things than the business."
