Ryan stood in his office facing the large floor to ceiling windows.

" what am I doing? Why did I marry her? She is the reason I slept through almost every woman in the city". His thoughts were in mess.

" why do I still care about her, I'm the one who brought up this contract wedding, so she is gonna leave me again".

"What actually happened all those years ago? Why did she leave the country" he thought.

Liam came knocking on the door " Mr. Brown there's a problem with that island project." Ryan didn't turn back and said " what's it?"

"It's your wife, sir, Mrs. Davis is also trying to get that project," Liam said.

" listening to liam saying Emilia as his wife Ryan's heart twitched.''

" That's what we have management team for. She is also like other competitors, what's there to worry about? " Ryan said coldly.

" He is the first son of Johnson family, Alice Johnson" Liam said.

" Alice Johnson" on hearing this Ryans' relaxed somewhat. Because he knows Alice since school, he is a close friend to ryan.

Even their families are close, Johnson's are one of 5 dragons families of A city.

Once Johnson's family used to be as powerful as Ryans and browns but after due to some internal family affairs johnson's family suffered some losses and now they are not as powerful as before but they still managed to be in the 5 dragon families. Johnson's are never a problem in business.

"Alice Johnson " used to have a hard crush on Emilia, he used to follow her all the time. She rejected him but they became good friends after that. Thinking this Ryans remembered their school days

" even though he is friends with Alice, ryan doesn't want to lose the project it's a big one, so he had an idea and decided to talk to Emilia about this because the project is affected by their relation".

He took his phone out of pocket and called Emilia. " hello, this is Emilia brown who is it?" Emilia responded.

"You don't even have your husband's number" Ryan became irritated knowing she doesn't even have his number.

" Why are you calling? Don't tell me you are bored with destroying small companies, so you decided to play with me for a while" Emilia replied coldly.

" as a 15% shareholder in your company, I have a proposal, " Ryan said without any change in tone.

" seriously? I just gave you those shares yesterday. Now you are using them can't you wait any longer hah!". Emilia mocked him.

" Emilia it's important to both the companies. Can you please stop mocking me it's not the time" Ryan said

" if it's that important why are you talking about this on phone. Let's talk after I get back to the mansion" Emilia said after noticing seriousness in Ryans' voice.

" ok I will pick you at 5." Ryan said. " no need I have other matters to attend to, I will have to stay late, so see you at the mansion ". Emilia said indifferently and ended the call.

Ryan stood silently thinking " when did this little girl become so cold. Why did she leave the country in the first place 4 years back" all this gave him a headache.

Ryan left the office early today. He went home straight.

By the time he got back, servants are standing in the living room bowing their heads. Ryan didn't understand what's happening. As soon as he entered the living room he saw his mom and mother in law sitting on the couch and instructing the servants.

Ryan immediately greeted them " mom, mother in law it's good to see you. He bowed his body ".

" well, we just came to tell them what to do and take good care of you young people," Ryan's mother said. " yes! We know that Emilia and you are busy with companies so we asked them to take good care of you every day" emilias mom spoke.

" That's so good of both of you. Thank you mom and mother in law" Ryan said politely.

"Ryan! Where is Emilia? Why didn't you pick her while coming home" Ryans's mother asked him?

" mom! She said she had some extra work so she will be late today" while saying this Ryan sneered at Emilia in his heart " this woman is making me bad in front of our parents".

" you are newlyweds! You should spend more time together! I will call her and give her earful holdings" emilias mom said to Ryan.

" Emilia is a good girl. She knows how to take care of everything. Don't scold her "Ryans' mom loved Emilia so she supported her.

Ryan stood there sneering at Emilia in his heart" even my mom is supporting her! What's so great about her. She is so cold ".

Emilias mom called Emilia and scolded her and ordered her to come home immediately. Within 30min Emilia is came back.

Seeing Emilia back in 30 minutes Ryan thought " wow! My mother in law is good at controlling her daughter, haha she rushed back within 30minutes, normally it takes nearly an hour to come here".

" mom and godmother. How are you? I'm sorry I'm not here when you came to host you. I had some businesses to take care of I'm sorry" Emilia bowed while saying that.

"It's okay dear come here to sit with me," Ryans mother asked Emilia.

Emilia silently sat beside her mother in law " dear! I know you are a busy person, even as a woman you never back down at anything, you took your family business and running it successfully, I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful daughter" Ryan's mother said to Emilia

" But, you know we are getting old we need grandchildren please think about it and give us a bunch of grandchildren, to play with".

Emilia is shocked, her face became pale " what children, first they forced me to marry that asshole now they want me to have children " Emilia thought but she said " we are trying mom, there will be good news soon! Please don't worry and take good care of your health" Emilia smiled

" what are we trying? Ryan looked at Emilia with shock. Did she want to have children with me? She is just saying to get mothers off her back" Ryan looked at Emilia.

Mom, please don't be angry at me. I'm your only daughter, I don't want to hurt you. I will come back to the mansion early tomorrow" Emilia said to her mother.

" Okay but only because you said you are going to give us grandchildren" emilias mom smiled.

"Okay we will get going it's late" after saying goodbye their mothers left. They stood in at the house door while sending them. Later they both started walking inside.
