Chapter 10 Taking Advantage of Me
Evan slightly narrowed his eyes and looked at the girl in the near distance.
The girl looked about 17, 18 years old. Without any ornament on, her soft, smooth black hair hung loose behind her back. On her small face, her skin was snow white and her eyes looked pretty. Although she still looked childish, she would be a drop-dead gorgeous lady someday.
Her temperament was as refined as green mountains and streams. She looked elegant and delicate like a little fairy.
And in front of her was a menacing wolf. The scene was like when someone mistakenly entered a fairyland in the forest.
Evan moved back his gaze, twirled the dagger with his slender fingers, put it away, slightly arched his eyebrow, and sort of explained, "I thought it was a wild wolf."
Gray saw him putting away his dagger and grumpily bared its fangs again.
The dagger just wounded it. Not reconciled, Gray wanted to get him!
Lora squatted down and stroked Gray, "Alright, alright. As a magnanimous wolf, Gray will not wrestle with an insensible ingrate, eh? Good boy, lie down. I'll apply medicine for you."
Following her words, Lora rolled her eyes at Evan again.
The man was left speechless...
He was wrong. She was not a little fairy but a vengeful wild girl.
"What did you just call me? Cowboy?"
Evan took a step back, sat on a boulder behind him, arched his eyebrow, stared at Lora, and asked lazily.
Lora took out a bottle of medicine and lowered her head to treat the wound under Gray's neck. Though not serious, the slit was long.
Lora was shocked inwardly. This man was wounded all over and fainted because of a high fever last night. In such a weak state, he still could hurt Gray!
He was really something. No wonder he started a feud with Cole!
At the thought of Cole and the pitiful origins of the Cowboy, Lora was no longer that angry.
Only then did she cast her eyes up and look at the man a little curiously, "Aren't you Cowboy from the nearby village?"
Evan's pale thin lips slightly curved up in a noncommittal smile.
"That's my nickname. No one has called me that for years."
He spoke the local dialect, and his accent was strong. Now Lora no longer doubted his identity.
"Today Cole is taking hounds to search for you in the mountains. Since Gray is here, those hounds don't dare to come close.
But sooner or later, Cole will find you. When you can walk, you'd better leave this place. By the way, how did you offend Cole?"
Instead of answering, Evan frowned, suddenly leaned back, put his hand on the right side of his abdomen, and slightly raised his head. His distinct Adam's apple rolled with difficulty, and he looked painful.
Alarmed, Lora hurriedly got up, "Did the wound on your abdomen open again?"
The man was seriously injured. The wound on his abdomen, in particular, was so deep that his internal organs were almost damaged.
Lora rushed over, pulled off the man's hand, tore open his shirt, and drew close for a look.
As expected, blood strained through his opened wound. Her eyebrows furrowing, she stretched out her arm, but the man gripped her wrist with his big palm.
In shock, Lora cast her eyes up and saw the man's deep eyes. There seemed to be a hint of a smile in his indifferent, slanted, dark eyes. His voice was nonchalant and frivolous.
"Sis, are you taking advantage of me?"
Lora blinked and noticed from his messy shirt, his waist and abdomen were exposed. Since he leaned back, his abdominal muscles were taut and distinct. From the horrible wound, blood was trickling down into his black pants...
The scene was wild, seductive, and ambiguous because of his words.
At that moment, the tip of her finger somehow touched his external oblique. Feeling scorched, Lora immediately flinched, and her fair face flushed with shame.
