Chapter 6 The Little Woman in the Refrigerator

Wilson took Virginia to the elevator, came up to room 2205, and pushed her in.

"Little Virgee, do you remember the hide-and-seek that we played when we were little?"

When she fell to her knees, he grabbed her collar and dragged her to the open kitchen. There was a large double-layer refrigerator. Seeing that, she seemed to realize something and scratched him hard, but that didn't work.

He opened the lower door of the refrigerator and emptied the space randomly.

Then, he stuffed her in there with strength and saw her holding her legs and trembling. A cold draught of air blew out from inside.

He smiled. "Do you know who I am now?"

She glared at him with her watery eyes. At the same time, his patience was wearing thin.

Suddenly, she grasped his collar and leaned over to him softly.

He narrowed his wicked slanted eyes with satisfaction as she approached him.

But her face was pale and bloodless, and her muffled sobs hit his heart and made him inexplicably uncomfortable.

"What are you crying for? Don't cry!" He wiped away her distracting tears rudely with his thumb, yet with the tenderness that he didn't realize in his eyes.

But the next second...

Virginia opened her mouth and whispered with disgust, "Bah!"

Time seemed frozen at this moment.

Slap!

A heavy palm hit her face to a side.

He rose angrily and glared at her. "Well down! Virginia, you gave me a new reason to torture you!"

"Beg me now! Or I'll trap you in the refrigerator and make you experience what I suffered that day!" He put a hand on the refrigerator door and threatened to close it.

"You're nothing more than a dandy relying on your parents to bully others. What do you have except for your family's protection? I despise such a man as you most! You want me to marry you willingly? No way!"

"Shut me up if you dare! I'm not afraid of you!"

She shouted and laughed loudly despite the blood on her lips and tears running down her face uncontrollably.

"Good, you asked for it." Blue veins stood out on his hand holding the door.

He looked around before taking off his jacket. Then, he knelt and put it on her thin body forcibly.

After doing this, he hesitated for a moment as he thought of the stubbornness and mockery in her eyes.

He steeled himself to close the door and blocked it with an armchair.

After a glance at his Cartier to confirm the time, he turned around and strode out of the room.

When he wanted to press the elevator button, the elevator came to a halt with a loud 'ding'.

There stood a group of people, among whom was a tall man with a cold face and hands at his back.

They had a look at each other. Wilson moved to a side and let them go out first. Then, he entered the elevator and went down.

"Mr. Lopez, that man has just checked in today. I'll check out of his VIP room right away and give him compensation." The hotel manager explained nervously. He wiped the sweat off his forehead as he saw the deeper frown on Kent's face.

"I see." Kent nodded and stopped before the first room. "Just start from this one. My father will soon arrive. I don't want him to see anything unsatisfactory."

"Yes, sir." The manager had his head lower and winked at a man next to him. That man took out the master key and opened the door instantly.

Kent examined the rooms one after another and had his people mark down the flaws and correct them immediately.

Time crawled little by little. Forty minutes later, the manager had been more than tired.

He sneaked a glance at his boss who remained energetic without any sweat on his forehead.

"Mr. Lopez, this is the room for that man who you met just now."

He reminded Kent of that cautiously. But Kent didn't speak, so the manager could only open the door with a sigh in his heart, feeling sorry for his customer.

Kent walked in and noticed at once that an armchair was missing in the living room.

He frowned with displeasure, striding into the kitchen.

"Move the armchair." His ear moved as he heard slight sobs.

The manager was astonished. He couldn't understand why the customer put the armchair against the refrigerator.

Hurriedly, he removed the armchair with some other men. Then, Kent opened the refrigerator door immediately.

As a bloodless and familiar face appeared in front of him, his black eyes narrowed dangerously.

He held her out instantly and raved, "Call my personal doctor and ask him to come here within 10 minutes."

Ten minutes later...

A doctor rushed in with heavy sweat.

Kent used a quilt to wrap the little woman who kept murmuring that she felt hot on the bed. Her clothes had ripped into a mess by herself. In an almost unconscious state, she scratched her exposed skin with her nails which had been reddened with blood.

The doctor observed her for a few seconds and said, "It seems she has been frozen for a long while. When one is about to die of coldness, he or she will feel hot mistakenly. Mr. Lopez, please wait on another side."

The doctor hurriedly asked a nurse to prepare all he needed. The nurse got a basin of warm water and began wiping Virginia's arm with a towel.

Just then, Kent kicked the doctor's leg lightly. The doctor looked at him in confusion. "Mr. Lopez?"

"Follow me out."

The doctor had a glance at the weak woman on the bed and suddenly understood something. After giving the nurse some instructions, he walked out of the room with Kent.

Half an hour later, the nurse went out with sweat.

Cleverly, she ran up to Kent. Then, she bent slightly and said, "Mr. Lopez, she's better now. I've helped her wear pajamas. Do, do you want to see her? I think she needs your company."
