Chapter 3 A Lovely Little Girl

Stars didn't know how long she had been in a coma before she opened her eyes. The pains on her body made her frown involuntarily.

She looked around and found she was locked up in the underground warehouse. In her childhood, she had always taken here as her hideout in a hide-and-sick game.

She snorted.

Did Emma and Kitty plan to handle her in this secret place?

Snapped!

Something fell off the shelf behind her.

She thought it was a mouse and looked over her shoulder. But to her surprise, she saw a super lovely girl!

The little girl was about two years old. She had a round face, big eyes, straight bangs, and thick long hair. She was wearing a pink puffball skirt, carrying a lemon-shaped bag across her body, and holding a lollipop in her hand.

Standing next to the shelf, she looked more than vigilant. The box by her feet might have been accidentally dropped by her.

Why was here a little girl?

Stars thought for a while and asked, "Hi, did you follow me here?"

This was the only possibility because the warehouse had been closed for many years. A child couldn't have got in here.

The girl remained silent, but she toddled to Stars and looked at her with bright eyes.

How cute!

Stars exclaimed in her heart.

What good genes had created such a little angel?

Stars thought the girl was too scared to speak and stroked her hair gently. "Don't be afraid. I'm with you."

Anyway, she had no way to get out.

The softness of the girl's hair put Stars in deep thought. If her child was alive, she should be about the same age as this girl...

The missing for her child infused her eyes with sadness.

Noticing that, Alice Green thought: Is she afraid that she can't go out?

After a while, she opened her bag and took out a phone. Then, she handed the phone to Stars.

Stars smiled. "Thank you! I also have a phone, but the signal is bad here. So we can't make a call."

Alice shook her head and tucked the phone into Stars's hands.

Stars didn't refuse it. Now that the girl insisted, Stars would show her that they really couldn't call anyone here.

But the next second, Stars was stunned. The phone was not an ordinary one.

Although it looked like any touchscreen ones, its system had been adapted into children's style. Under a red button, especially, there were three striking words: Position For Help.

Her eyes lit up.

They would be saved!

The living room of the White's.

There was a dauntingly oppressive atmosphere because of a single man's existence.

Sitting in the top seat, James Green was wearing a terribly icy look. The ordinary antiqued wooden chair, under his brilliance, appeared like the throne for the King of Hell.

It was as if he would wave his hand and sentence one to death anytime.

Emma and Kitty were limp with fear. How unlucky they were today! The little princess had vanished without a trace!

If she was hurt, they wouldn't survive tonight!

As was known to all, James Green was as ruthless, heartless, and tyrannical as the King of Hell. More importantly, he was absolutely a doting father.

Although it was a freezing winter, the sweat on Kitty's forehead was as heavy as the rain in June.

"Sir, please punish me. It's my mistake not to keep a close eye on the little princess!" Mrs. Reed, the wet nurse, slumped to her knees.

The little princess had been a good girl. Being autistic, she only stayed with those familiar. Something must be wrong this time...

Mrs. Reed raised a hand to wipe her tears.

Eric Bush nerved himself to comfort James, "The house has been sealed off, and we've made all the servants look for the little princess. I believe we'll soon find her."

"Mr. Green!" A servant rushed in from outdoor. "Sir, we've searched everywhere except for the warehouse. Only Miss White can open it..."

After saying that, he had a look at Kitty, who had taken away the key after he shut Stars in.

So only she could open the door.

The warehouse.

Kitty thought of Stars, who was locked inside the warehouse. How could she allow that woman to meet James Green?
