Chapter 13 His Suit
Just as Brenda wondered what she should do to eliminate the embarrassment, some people's voices came from the outside.
It sounded like someone would enter the room to look for something.
She took the opportunity to get off Terry and said warily, "Mr. Lloyd, so sorry that I've entered the wrong room. I'll go out right now and leave it to you and your son."
With that, she walked towards the door.
Staring at Brenda's back, Terry noticed that her step was unsteady. It seemed that her limbs had gone weak and numb.
In fact, after the intimate interaction with the woman a moment of ago, Terry had concluded that she was not in a normal state.
He furrowed his pretty brows, and the look in his eyes grew colder.
Had someone drugged Brenda? The man wondered.
At this moment, Brenda had opened the door a crack, cautiously preventing people from seeing what was inside.
There were two persons standing out there.
They were Hank and Cathy. Presumably, the woman was here for Brenda.
Hank, of course, was here for Terry. He had not expected Brenda to walk out of the room.
Witnessing the woman's blush, Hank instantly thought of what might have happened in the room.
Also, he had not expected Terry to gain the upper hand over the woman before his eyes.
Despite all those wild thoughts going on in his mind, Hank still maintained a calm expression. "Miss Shaw. What has brought you here?"
Feeling weak and exhausted, Brenda just wanted to get out of this place.
She nodded at Hank and said nothing, planning to walk away.
Cathy had not expected Hank to know Brenda. With traces of hatred and jealousy flashing across her face, she walked up to the other woman, saying, "Brenda, I didn't see you in Room 1605, and I was worried."
Brenda clenched her fists, her fingernails getting inside the palms to tamp down the waves of heat surging up within her body.
"I don't feel quite well. I am afraid I have to leave now."
She had no idea of the relationship between Cathy and President Wood. However, there would be nothing wrong with being cautious.
At this moment, Cathy reached out for Brenda. She seemed to be helping the latter. However, she was actually gripping Brenda's arm to prevent her from walking away.
"I brought you here and have to take good care of you. Let me take you home after the dinner party."
"That's not..." Brenda tried to refuse it.
Just then, Hank joined the dialog by saying, "Miss Shaw, your face is blushed. Are you drunk?" Brenda felt that the man might be a lifeline for her.
Therefore, she took one step closer to Hank. All of a sudden, the man's expression changed dramatically.
And he hurried to walk up to Brenda.
Brenda had no idea what was going on. However, her hot body suddenly felt cold all over.
Intuitively, she lowered her head and was surprised to see that her dress was sliding down.
Feeling shocked and ashamed, she hurried to reach out for the falling dress.
Witnessing what was going on, Hank immediately took off his coat. However, before he could cover it over Brenda, someone else did so.
An exquisitely tailored suit covered Brenda's body as if it had fallen from the sky.
The woman grabbed the suit coat like it was a lifesaver and wrapped her body tightly with it.
When she turned her head, she got scared.
It was Terry who was standing behind her.
The man was wearing a simple white shirt. However, his outstanding aura could not be concealed, and he was giving off a proud, majestic vibe.
Feeling the warmth coming from the man's suit, Brenda felt much better.
It was him.
Brenda was stunned. Seeing what was going on, Hank withdrew his suit and put it on his shoulder smartly.
With his eyes narrowed, Hank said to the other man, "Terry, well done. It seems that you've seen it coming. Did you do anything to Miss Shaw's dress earlier in the room?"
