Chapter 9 Little Scoundrel

"Mr..."

"Shush!" Terry hurried to stop the woman from making a sound.

Brenda then realized that the little boy in her arms was sleeping like a dog.

She lifted her arms, intending to give Jimmy to his father.

However, Terry was wearing an unfathomable expression and did not reach out for his son.

His eyes moved downward at Brenda's curvaceous chest.

The woman wondered why the man did not take his son away from her hands.

Sensing his gaze, Brenda's face blushed all over.

She then said in a bashful yet irritated tone of voice, "Take him. My hands are getting sore."

She had just woken up. Thus, there was a subtle trace of coquetry in her voice.

Terry raised his brows slightly, wearing a meaningful expression.

Brenda then realized that something was wrong and lowered her head to check it out.

Well, it was Jimmy who was making the situation awkward.

As the little boy was pressing himself tightly against Brenda, if Terry wanted to take his son away from the woman, he would have to touch her soft breasts.

...

There was no light on in the living room. The gentle moonlight spilled in was making the atmosphere somewhat ambiguous.

The strong aura of masculinity exuded by Terry's tall sturdy body pierced the darkness and then made Brenda's mouth parched, and her tongue scorched.

She could no longer allow the man to stay at her place.

Gritting her teeth, Brenda adjusted Jimmy's posture to let him lean against her shoulder, moving closer to Terry so that it would be easier for him to take the boy.

However, due to the woman's movements, Jimmy wriggled his body and put his chubby arms around Brenda's neck.

And the boy muttered, "Mommy..."

This was the second time for Brenda to hear Jimmy call Mommy.

Instantly, there were various kinds of emotions surging up in her heart.

If her child had not died, he would be about Jimmy's age.

How much she wished that she could hear her own child call her Mommy.

While the woman was lost in her sad memories, Terry suddenly reached out for Jimmy and took him away from the woman's arms.

Brenda then came to her senses. Presumably, Terry must have heard Jimmy's word as well.

Brenda recalled that she once said she wanted Terry to sleep with her. Would the man misunderstand her and think that she wanted to marry him and become Jimmy's stepmother?

The look in Terry's eyes was emotionless. It was impossible for Brenda to see him through.

For fear that things would become complicated, Brenda tried to explain in a soft voice, "Mr. Lloyd, I didn't teach Jimmy to call me Mommy or something. Please don't take me wrong. I have no improper intention on you."

At her words, a hint of coldness somehow flashed across the man's calm face.

He replied, "It's better for you to be aware of the distance."

Then, he turned to leave.

Sitting alone in the room, Brenda lifted her hands to rub her temples.

She had babysat Jimmy for a day and taken great care of him. What had made Mr. Lloyd unsatisfied with her again? The woman could not help but wonder what kind of female would be qualified to taste the tenderness of Terry, a wealthy and arrogantly powerful man?

...

Terry was sitting in the stretched black Bentley parked at the side of the road.

After casting a secretive glance at the silent man, Ralph, who was sitting in the driver's seat, suddenly asked, "Mr. Lloyd, I've noticed that Jimmy likes Miss Shaw very much. Do you want me to ask someone to investigate her background?"

"That's not necessary," replied Terry in a light tone.

Terry had decided that he would not let his son see this ungrateful woman again.

However, Ralph misunderstood him.

Ralph was clear that Jimmy occupied the most significant position in Terry's heart. Thus, he wondered in shock what had made his boss trust the woman that much.

Terry was a self-disciplined man who had maintained a distance with women all these years.

Maybe Brenda would become an exception for him?
