Chapter 24 The Pipa Girl
Nate was pretty satisfied with Lora and deeply disappointed with Christine. Thus, the latter's words were simply driving him more and more impatient.
He answered, "We've found a suitable choice. Why shall we waste time on someone else?"
Mona sneered inwardly and cast a defiant glance at Christine. She then said to Nate, "President Law. Director Smith has indeed contributed a lot to Rainbow Design. Let's give her another chance. If we don't, people might gossip about that."
She did not believe that Christine could turn things around and thought that what Christine was going to do would only embarrass herself even further.
"The company is mine, not Christine's. Cannot I even decide on the ambassador of my own brand? Who dares to gossip about anything?" At Mona's words, Nate's fury against Christine intensified.
In fact, Christine could understand Nate. Anyone in his position would get mad in front of what had happened.
Though Nate's words were quite harsh, he did not walk away. Therefore, Christine hurried to give an eye signal to Jane, hinting her to bring that woman in.
Soon, a girl in a white blouse and light-colored jeans entered the room. Her hair was dark, and she was not wearing any makeup.
In front of Lora, who looked somewhat gaudy, the girl looked innocent.
Nate wanted to get angry again. It seemed that the plain girl did not take this event seriously at all.
He managed to tamp down his flames of fury and said in an impatient tone, "Get it started."
Mona said, "Director Smith. We all understand the efforts you've made to Rainbow Design. However, are you really going to play us with this girl, who doesn't even care to dress up? This doesn't seem right, does it?"
"You'll see in half a minute," Christine answered with an emotionless expression on her face, standing upright.
Mona tilted her head to say to Nate, "President Law, don't expect too much of the girl. We've had a suitable choice already. So, let's take it easy."
Just as Mona's words fell, a refreshing, smooth melody sounded. Everyone in the room looked at the girl in a white blouse, seeing that she was playing the pipa.
Spring Snow!
She was playing a well-known piece called Spring Snow.
Apparently, she was a skillful artist. Her genuine elegance and rich emotions filled the room in the blink of an eye.
Honestly speaking, her features were not stunning. However, while she was playing, nobody could take their eyes off her.
And the longer those people looked at her, the more they found her face gorgeous.
After playing Spring Snow, she put down the pipa and stood up.
People's eyes followed her movements attentively until she asked succinctly, "I'm done with my presentation. May I be Rainbow's brand ambassador?"
She did not even spare a glance at Lora, the gaudy woman.
In fact, she was Christine's favorite during the primary screening. She was twenty-two years old and would soon graduate from college.
At this moment, Mona said anxiously, "Lady, before you walked into the room, we've decided on the brand ambassador. Your presentation is just a presentation."
The girl furrowed her brows lightly, answering, "Well, I'm leaving then."
With that, she literally turned to leave.
Christine witnessed what was going on silently.
Seeing that the girl was really leaving, Nate became nervous. How could he let go of such a perfect option of Rainbow's brand ambassador?
He then said anxiously, "Wait. The pipa girl, please wait."
The pipa girl? Christine revealed a smile. Apparently, the girl had defeated Lora.
