Chapter 8 Take You Home

What?

Two houses within the third ring road of the city and twenty million yuan?

Kevin and the others widened their eyes in shock.

Was Christine crazy?

Clare snapped, "You shameless bitch! What do you think you're doing, robbing, or what? You've cheated on my son in the first place. That's called marital infidelity. We're taking an advantaged position even in terms of the law. You won't get a single penny from us!"

Lora said in a weak voice, "Exactly. You've made a mistake within this marriage firstly. How could you make such unreasonable demands? Aren't you afraid that other people will look down upon you?"

Hank flew into a rage. "Christine, don't go too far! Kevin is not a weak man! What you're asking is nothing more than a drop in the bucket to our family, but I'm telling you, we won't give a penny to a woman like you!"

Clare followed Hank to say, "It's kind enough of us to kick you out of the house without revealing the news to the public, and you still want a share of the property? Daydreaming!"

Christine found their words ironic.

In the past, she was willing to put up with Clare's shrewish behavior and Hank's confusion for Kevin's sake and used to try hard to please them to make it easier for Kevin, who was in the middle of them and her.

However, she would not do so anymore.

She suddenly realized that running away from Kevin and his family would mean a restart of her life. Otherwise, she would have to live the rest of her life in a state of awkwardness and grievance.

Over the past three days in the hospital, she had thought a lot. She used to hold out too much hope and illusions about love and marriage. Currently, she was determined to get back at Kevin even after the divorce.

She interrupted those people with a sneer. "I think Kevin knows very well if he wants to give me the money or not. Don't you, General Manager Lee?"

At her words, Kevin's heart skipped a beat. Though his parents had no idea why Christine was with Sheldon, he was clear as hell.

However, he was confident that even if his parents knew about that, they would stand on his side. They disliked Christine from the very beginning and certainly would approve of trading her for a better future. The main point was that he could please Sheldon by doing so.

Thinking so, he felt much more confident and then said, "Christine, your request is too much. You are my wife, but you are pregnant with Mr. Collins' child. All I want is to divorce you, while you want to take so much away from my family. You're simply going too far!"

He put it like he was in a vulnerable position while Christine was extremely heinous!

Christine scoffed and replied in an undeterred tone of voice, "Am I going too far? You know what, I doubt that though you're the general manager of Star Glory Entertainment, you don't have that much money. Well, that's totally fine. I'll give you time to raise the fund, and we'll get the divorce done whenever you're ready. Otherwise... I believe you know what will happen."

If they did not get a divorce, Kevin would sure think that she would not stay by Sheldon's side.

Kevin's greatest fear was that Christine, his wife, would not be able to please Sheldon, so he would definitely find a way to meet her demands.

Seeing the livid expression Kevin and his parents were wearing, Clare got prepared to abuse Christine, with her chest heaving violently with anger. Hank glared at Christine as if he would black out the next second.

Christine moved her eyes to look at Sheldon, saying, "Mr. Collins, I'm tired."

Sheldon answered, "I'll take you home, then."

Then, he turned around and entered the villa.

At this moment, Hank fainted in fury. Kevin and the others hurried to help him, forgetting to abuse Christine.
