Chapter 17 If You Don't Wanna Die, Get Out!
Chynna shook her head, feeling it was unbelievable, and blurted, "That's a rash decision on your part."
Joshua smiled slightly, his eyes glowing with a dim light of subtleness, "Nothing I do is rash, and once I make the decision, it'll never be changed."
He looked at Chynna with imperative certainty in his eyes, "Like you, for example, you're the woman I chose. So, you, Chynna. You won't be able to run away ever in this life."
A chill crept up her spine as she heard this. But she looked up to meet Joshua's gaze, "Who do you think you are? Isn't that too much hubris to say that things you decide can never be changed? Am I your private property? Why can't I run away?"
"Who am I?" Joshua chuckled, "You can ask anyone in East City who I am, and if my decision can be changed. For your record, I don't know whether you're my personal property or not. What I do know is..."
Joshua paused and continued extremely ambiguously, "Chynna, your first man was me."
Joshua's words hit Chynna right where it hurt, and her pretty eyes gave Joshua an indignant look before she stormed out of the conference room in a flash without looking back.
Joshua watched Chynna's departure as a tinge of a subtle sneer flashed across his lips. His gaze was so dark as if it was a bottomless abyss.
This woman liked running away from him so much. Someday he would catch her, control her at his mercy, and make her unable to escape forever.
Since Chynna stood almost next to the skin of Joshua just now, their conversation was vaguely heard by Lena.
She misconstrued Chynna's sudden departure as the result of Joshua's tantrum irritated by Chynna,
So, she got delighted and looked at Joshua tenderly again with recurring attempt, "Mr. Baker, now that Chynna has left, let me stay by your side tonight, okay?"
Her words reminded Joshua that there was still such an obnoxious woman around. If it weren't for the fact that he didn't hit women, he would have kicked this annoying woman away a long time ago.
Joshua squinted his eyes, his whole body exuding a suffocating sense of danger, his voice harsh and chilling, "If you don't want to die, get out of here!"
If she failed to get it, he would let Marshall come in and take care of it.
Luckily that Lena had been scared out of her wits by his cold, cruel look and immediately ran out of the meeting room.
Justin, the guy with pimples who was guarding at the door, saw as his goddess, Lena rushing out of the meeting room in a panic. He immediately got nervous.
He figured that the man surnamed Baker tried to harass Lena. Fortunately, Lena was determined enough to resist him and escaped!
He followed up Lena and intercepted her, "Lena, are you alright? Did that Baker guy bully you?"
The sight of Justin enraged Lena even more. Damn! This man full of pimples had been going after and badgering her relentlessly ever since she entered the university. On the contrary, a man as handsome, rich, and powerful as Mr. Baker was so indifferent about her.
The more Lena thought about it, the angrier she got. Tears actually came out of her eyes, and she pushed Justin away, "Get out of my way."
Justin felt heartbroken at the sight of his goddess in tears. He was almost certain that Joshua had harassed Lena.
He clenched his fists, his eyes glowing with the fire of hatred, "Joshua, you are rich and powerful, but I, Justin, am not afraid of you. For the sake of my goddess, I will take my revenge even if I die! Wait for me, one day I will definitely let you pay off your scores!
