Chapter 18 The Trap
It was a large, luxurious room with an extravagant interior.
Carole walked in and saw Peter, Nicole, and a middle-aged man with a big belly sitting by the table.
Seeing Carole, Nicole hurried to stand up and greeted her with a smile, "Carole, let me introduce you to Max. This is Max, he admires you and has just been raving about you."
It sure was a trap!
Carole put on a smile and then looked at Peter, asking, "Uncle Peter, please tell me my brother's whereabouts!"
"Take it easy, Carole. Let's leave that topic to after dinner. I will tell you everything we get home!" Peter gave a glance at Nicole, and then, together they dragged Carole to sit down next to Max Lewis.
"Miss Watson, do you know how pretty and innocent you look?" Max narrowed his eyes obscenely and gazed at Carole.
Of course, Carole knew what images were going through the man's head.
Disgusting!
Carole frowned and moved further away from the man.
Max moved closer to her, saying, "Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you. I heard that you've lost your job, and my company happens to need a secretary. Why don't you join us and start to work for me from tomorrow?"
With that, he put his hand on Carole, stroking.
Carole's expression changed dramatically. She stood up and said with a grave look in her eyes, "Please show some respect!"
Max grunted with an annoyed expression on his face, looked at Peter, and said, "Looks like your niece is a tough girl!"
"Carole is just shy, please forgive her!" Peter hurried to comfort Mr. Lewis and signaled Nicole with his eyes to take a further move on their target.
Nicole instantly caught her husband's instruction and brought a glass of wine she had specially prepared to Carole. "Why don't you propose a toast to Mr. Lewis? He'll then forgive you for your impertinence."
"I won't drink it!" Carole turned and headed outwards.
"Stop her!" Peter revealed a grim smile, blocked the doorway, and then placed another glass of wine in front of her.
"If you want to know the whereabouts of your brother, behave yourself and serve Mr. Lewis to his satisfaction!"
"You're shameless!" Carole looked at him and suddenly burst out laughing.
She snatched the glass from Peter's hand and threw the wine in his face accurately.
"You're lying. You don't know where my brother is. All this is an elaborate trap you've set for me!"
Being seen through and dishonored, Peter flew into a rage.
With a gloomy expression on his face, he roared, "Looks like I'll have to teach you a lesson today!"
He had studied martial arts before, and it was a piece of cake for him to bring Carole under control.
In the blink of an eye, Peter grabbed Carole and reached out the glass of wine to her mouth.
Carole had not expected her uncle to behave so ruthlessly, and her face turned pale in fury.
"Aren't you afraid I'll call the police to put you in prison?"
"Call the police if you want to! But you have no proof, so no one will believe you!" Nicole smiled sardonically and poured the entire glass of wine into Carole's mouth.
"Mr. Lewis, she is yours tonight. Feel free to enjoy her!" Peter tossed Carole onto the couch and laughed obscenely.
"You bastards!" Carole was furious.
It was apparent to her that there was a fire burning inside her body, and she was getting hotter and emptier.
She felt so uncomfortable.
They drugged her!
At this moment, Max, the ugly middle-aged man, lunged at Carole.
Carole ducked hastily, grabbed a glass, cracked it, grabbed a shard of it against her neck, saying, "If you dare touch me, I'll kill myself in front of you!"
