Chapter 7 Let's Fall in Love
The temperature in the room rose steeply.
An ambiguous vibe was filling the room.
Carole's throat felt a little dry, and her heart was pounding violently.
She thought she was ready but was still terrified when the man was making a move on her.
In a panic, Carole's hands intuitively clasped her shoulders to ward off further intrusion from Oscar.
But Oscar suddenly stopped his movement and moved his eyes from her eyes to her lips with amusement.
Then he sighed softly. "Your husband must be regretting it!"
"Sorry, what?"
"Nothing!"
Oscar stood up to keep the woman from seeing his bloodshot eyes.
He really was about to lose control of himself, but...
The flash of a petite figure in his mind and that person's pretty, big eyes brought all his passion to an abrupt halt.
"You'll sleep here tonight!"
Oscar then swiftly walked out of the room without looking back.
He walked downstairs, giving off a cold vibe. Leo, who had just entered the house, gasped in fear upon seeing his boss.
"Mr. Morris..."
Oscar cast a cold glance at Leo and then asked, "Still nothing?"
"Not yet. " Leo lowered his head and shuddered all over.
However, he could not help but advise, "It's been over ten years. The investigation is very challenging. Maybe you could listen to your grandfather's suggestion to be together with Miss Watson..."
Oscar interrupted his assistant by saying, "Keep investigating!" and then stormed out of the villa.
......
In the bedroom upstairs, Carole was in a confused state at the moment.
Had the man just let her go?
She looked out into the deep night and knew that the idea of leaving was impractical.
She hurriedly locked the door and put a chair against the back of it, which made her feel slightly relieved.
She then took out her cell phone, intending to call Rachel. However, she only found that the phone had shut down as there was no power left.
She was too scared to go out to ask for a charger, so she put the phone away, sat down for a while, and went to bed.
Oscar's room was masculine, neat, and minimalist.
The grey and white covers and other bedding were clean.
Carole tossed and turned in bed until midnight before she finally fell asleep.
The next morning, she got out of bed early.
When Carole walked downstairs, she found that the servant had already prepared breakfast for her. Seeing Carole, the servant greeted her with a smile, "Miss Watson. Mr. Morris has gone to the office. He left his contact information and said that if you run into any problem, you can come to him. He also said that he wants to enter into a romantic relationship with you!"
At the servant's words, Carole almost spewed the milk out of her mouth.
"What did you say? He wants to enter a romantic relationship with me?"
"Yes!" The servant handed her a slip of paper. "Mr. Morris has never been in love before. He's looking forward to it!"
What the heck!
Carole immediately lost her appetite for breakfast, grabbed her bag, and ran out.
She would not come back to this place; neither did she want to see that man again.
He was too dangerous!
Carole hailed a taxi to go to the photography studio where she had been working for.
When she walked into the office, Carole quickly noticed that her co-workers looked at her with a strange in their eyes. They all seemed to have something to say but be afraid to say it out.
Carole looked down at her outfit and did not see anything wrong with it.
She smiled, greeted everyone, and sat down in her seat.
Then a co-worker came up to her and said, "Carole, the boss wants you to come to his office!"
As she entered the office, her boss placed a letter of dismissal in front of her and said, "Carole, I'm sorry to tell you that you're fired!"
