Chapter 14 You Lied to Me

"You?" Aanisah was startled suddenly, "You lied to me?"

"Lied to you?" Andrew looked up at her.

"You promised to help me deal with them, but you just said that I'm on my own now, I..."

"I just gave you an identity. As for how you deal with them, it is your business, not mine!" Andrew looked at her indifferently, "Also... I remember that you said that you would do whatever it takes to get this identity. Miss Brook, you still remember that, don't you?"

Aanisah's heart sank unconsciously.

She said that in a fit of anger, but she didn't expect him to remember that clearly.

It was said that being impulsive brought trouble. She must have been possessed by the devil at the time, so she said such reckless words. Now she really regretted what she had done.

"That's because..."

"Buzz..." Just when Aanisah wanted to say something, Andrew's phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID on the screen, frowned, and then answered.

Taking this opportunity, Aanisah tried hard to figure out what to do next. But in less than a minute, Andrew hung up the phone. During the whole process of the call, he only said one word "okay".

"Mr. Wood, I think there are misunderstandings between us..."

"The misunderstandings can be solved later. Now, we need to deal with the first bomb you dropped at the Wood Family." Andrew interrupted Aanisah, and then ordered the driver, "Go back to the Wood Family!"

"Bomb?"

Along the way, Aanisah was wondering what bomb she had thrown to the Wood Family?

She didn't even know where it was or how it looked like, so how could she drop a bomb?

"Don't say anything when we get there. Just stand by my side, understand?" When getting out of the car, Andrew explained to her and held her hand at the same time.

Aanisah was slightly startled and couldn't help becoming nervous.

This was a relatively retro Chinese-style villa. All the furniture was mainly made of mahogany, and the layout was also well-regulated. Even each brick and wood was solemn.

Looking at everything in the yard, Aanisah couldn't help but feel pain. Was this Johnny's home? They had been together for three years, but she didn't even know that he lived in such a place. Well, Peggy might be a regular guest here, right?

"Master Andrew..."

"Master..."

The servants who passed by greeted Andrew one by one, but he didn't even look at them. Aanisah couldn't help but retract her thoughts and looked at the man beside her.

His face was a little serious, and his hand was getting tighter and tighter, as if there was something on his mind, or she should say that it felt like he was about to face a powerful enemy.

"Mr. Wood, I'm sorry, if you are in trouble because of me, I..."

"If you still call me Mr. Wood, no one will be able to save you!" Andrew gave her a warning, then released her hand, and continued to walk forward.

Aanisah's heart sank for she finally understood how serious this was.

She ran forward to catch up with the man, obediently took his big hand, and uttered two words apologetically, "Thank you!"

Andrew took a glance at her, raised his lips slightly, and then moved forward.

In the living room, the head of the family, Warren Wood, was sitting on the main seat. The 70-year-old man was already in gray hair, but he was in good spirits as if he was only 60 years old. His brows were frowning tightly, and his expression was so serious that the entire living room was quiet and solemn.

As soon as Aanisah stepped into this place, she felt as if her head was hooped, and her whole body became stiff.
