Chapter 3 Her Best Friend Came Back.

Walking out of Lewis' house, Ashley felt very helpless. She was like a boat in the storm, only to be battered by the wind and rain.

The bruises on her body reminded her that she was no longer qualified to like Barry, and she didn't even have such a humble wish now.

When she was suffering from grievances before, the first person she wanted to confide in was Barry Cook. But now she was not eligible for Barry's comfort.

Ashley cried. Barry Cook was her entire youth, the person she had always liked.

Even if she was aggrieved before, Ashley never shed tears because her mother told her that tears belonged to the coward.

She had to be strong and be alive.

But today, she felt abandoned by the world, and she no longer wanted to endure. In a moment, all her grievances spilled out, and she vented her emotions.

Because from today on, she was going to say goodbye to the best man in her youthful years.

He deserved someone better!

Ring, ring.

She heard the clear ringing sound. Ashley quickly calmed down and took out her phone.

It showed that it was Winifred. Ashley answered the phone.

"Ashley, where are you? I'm back in China. Now I'm at the airport, come pick me up!" A cheerful voice came from the phone.

Winifred Mill, Ashley's best friend and classmate, was back happily after having traveled to dozens of countries in summer vacation. They were about to go to school a few days later.

Ashley dried her tears and took a taxi to the airport.

"Ashley, why are you so late? I've been waiting for you for a long time." Winifred acted coquettishly.

Just after saying that, Winifred noticed the tears in the corners of Ashley's eyes, and she suddenly became nervous, "Ashley, did someone bully you during the time I was away?" Winifred jerked up her sleeves as if she was going to fight the person who bullied Ashley.

"Winifred, let's go back first," Ashley said and stuffed the luggage into the compartment.

Winifred noticed that Ashley was a bit strange, and since there were too many people at the airport, Winifred didn't ask too many questions. Anyway, whoever had bullied Ashley, she would definitely seek justice for her.

Bullying Ashley was bullying her, and Winifred was a black belt in Taekwondo and often punished the bad guys.

Winifred was the illegitimate daughter of the Mills, and since neither of them was liked by their families, they had been very good friends since they were children.

There was a saying, "People in the same boat will be friends."

Soon, they arrived at Winifred's small apartment, and they walked in with a lot of luggage.

As soon as they entered the room, Winifred asked her directly.

"Ashley, what's going on? Why are you crying?" They had grown up together since they were children, and Winifred knew that if something big hadn't happened, Ashley would never have cried.

Because Winifred rarely saw Ashley cry before.

Ashley couldn't endure it anymore. She buried her head into Winifred's arms and cried sadly.

Winifred was at a loss. She had never seen Ashley lose control before. She was stunned and prepared to comfort her after Ashley finished crying.

Finally finished venting her emotions, Ashley told Winifred everything she had experienced.

"Ashley, who did you sleep with?" Winifred opened her eyes wide in surprise and asked.

"I don't know him either." Ashley lowered her head in shame.

"Fuck, the next time I see that man, I'll definitely teach him a lesson, as well as those two bitches Amy Lewis and Vivian Anderson," Winifred said with her teeth gritted.

"Winifred, I'm not good enough for Barry." Ashley looked very self-conscious about how she wished that everything last night was a dream.

Ashley had recently plucked up her courage and planned to confess her feelings to Barry. But she hadn't expected this to happen, and now she had put that thought to rest.

However, she was unwilling to do so, and she also realized that Barry liked her. Why would God be so unfair to her?

"Ashley, don't be sad. I can see that Barry likes you. Some other day you can find an opportunity to explain things clearly, and Barry will understand you." She wiped away the tears on Ashley's cheeks and patiently comforted her.

"Winifred, I only have you now." Ashley hugged her tightly.

"Don't worry. I'll always be here." Winifred said firmly.

After Ashley finished talking the pain in her heart, she felt much better, and the irritation began to fade away.

"Ashley, there's a party tonight. I'll take you there to have a good time." Winifred thought of a good idea suddenly.

The Lewis was strictly managed, and Vivian didn't want many people to know Ashley. So she rarely showed up in public.

But today, Ashley agreed without hesitation. Now that she had nothing to lose, she had nothing to fear.

Winifred didn't expect that Ashley agreed, so she jumped straight out of bed.

Previously, Winifred had persuaded Ashley patiently to accompany her to the party, but she was indifferent.

"Ashley, don't worry. I'll definitely let you have fun tonight."
