Chapter 8 Wiping Hands for Angela
Stanley Martin had seen many beauties over the years, but to be honest, he had never seen one like Angela Cole, innocent yet with inviting charm.
He pressed his hands against the table, put on a self-conceited smile, and asked with interest, "Nice to meet you! I am Stanley Martin. What's your name?"
Angela noticed there was a trace of evil in the man's smile.
She looked at Samuel Fisher, who was lazily listening to Sonia Shaw and seemed to be unaware of what was going on over here.
She nodded awkwardly at Stanley, "Nice to meet you too."
The girl's standoffish response did not dampen Stanley's enthusiasm.
When he looked at her exquisite and beautiful face, he felt extremely itchy inside.
He thought, "How lucky Samuel Fisher is to have such beauty around."
Then he said to Angela, "I don't think we had met each other before. If we had, I would never forget your appearance."
Angela frowned at the man across from her and felt his words annoying.
Seeing that the girl was looking at him, Stanley delightedly thought she was too shy to answer him, then he put on a smile which he thought should be attractive, and continued, "Don't be afraid. I just want to befriend you. I'm doing quite well in Norlan City, and you might have heard of me."
Angela's family constraints had been strict, and she had never attended any social event before. Therefore, she had not heard of the man's name.
She initially wanted to ignore the man, but she had to shake her head lightly, thinking that his social status might be too high for her to do that.
Stanley got a little antsy as the girl did not make any sound.
He frowned and wondered what was wrong with the girl.
"Why is she as reticent as Samuel Fisher? Can it be that my status as the young master of the Martin Corporation is not enough to make her speak?"
Stanley, despite slightly irritated, was unwilling to give the girl up for the sake of her gorgeous appearance.
So, he then tried hard to amuse the girl with a few jokes.
In the beginning, Angela kept smiling out of courtesy. However, Stanley then began telling dirty jokes to harass the young woman.
Angela's smile faded as she could not accept the disrespect for women in those senseless words.
She did not dare to offend Stanley and could only look at Samuel with tears in her eyes.
However, it seemed that Samuel did not notice her gaze, and he continued chatting with Sonia.
Just as Angela was on the verge of tears, he ended his conversation with Sonia, turned to her, and asked abruptly, "Have you finished eating?"
Angela felt relieved and nodded hard, hoping to get out of this place right away.
Samuel, however, gracefully pulled out a wet wipe, looked at Angela, and said calmly, "Give me your hand."
Angela had no idea what he wanted to do and had to reach her hand out obediently.
Holding the girl's soft hand, Samuel lowered his head to wipe it carefully.
The expression on his face was solemn, and his movements were careful as if he were dealing with a treasure.
Angela stared at his handsome side face and involuntarily blushed all over.
In the other two people's eyes, Samuel's action was too intimate.
