Chapter 7 The Hearty Meal

Samuel Fisher replied, "Chinese food it is."

He was not a picky eater, and his attitude somehow made Angela feel respected.

A trace of joy flew across the girl's heart full of fear.

Angela quickened her pace to catch up with Samuel.

Noticing that Angela had difficulty following his speed, the man considerately slowed down his long legs.

Angela also found the man was decelerating but not sure if that was for her.

They entered a Chinese restaurant next to the hotel.

After they got seated, Samuel ordered boat congee, crab meatballs, and crab buns for the girl, and then added a few dishes.

Actually, the restaurant was famous for its pastry and desserts in Norlan City. Angela had long been wanting to come since she heard of its name from several classmates.

After the dim sum was served, Angela took a bite of the crab bun and found it surprisingly juicy and delicious.

Soon, she finished eating two crab buns non-stop.

Staring at the girl who was feasting on the delicacies, Samuel felt so satisfied that he also found the food quite tasty.

After having some of the refreshments, Samuel put down his chopsticks.

In fact, he had inquired about Angela from the hotel manager as soon as he got back, so he knew what she had done and that she had not eaten much in the evening.

So, he deliberately asked her to follow him to dinner.

He had actually just departed from a dinner party and was not hungry at all.

Angela immersed herself in the bountiful meal, her eyelashes pleasantly moving up and down, which was beautiful in the man's opinion.

"Hey, Young Master Fisher. Why are you here?" A sweet female voice interrupted Samuel and Angela.

Angela looked up.

A fair-looking woman and a man were walking towards them.

The gorgeous woman was about twenty-five to twenty-six years old, wearing classy makeup, which perfectly set off her angular facial features and made her look like a supermodel.

She was wearing a black and white strapless dress, giving off an elegant and capable vibe.

The man next to her was wearing a white shirt and brown suit pants, looking pretty as well.

However...

That man was staring at Angela as if she were his prey, and the girl thus frowned.

Samuel gave the woman who had just greeted him a languid glance and did not make a reply.

The woman was called Sonia Shaw. She did not mind being ignored, got seated, and introduced the man with her to Samuel, "Young Master Fisher, I have not expected to meet you here. Let me introduce Stanley Martin to you. He is the young master of the Martin Corporation in Norlan City."

She paused and turned her head to Stanley Martin, "Stanley, this is Samuel Fisher, the executive chairman of the Fisher Group, one of the world's top twenty. He is a well-known and legendary figure in the business world, who had his first company listed in New York City at the age of sixteen. We call him Young Master Fisher."

"Young Master Fisher, it's my honor to meet you here." Stanley Martin extended his hand to the other man.

Samuel shot a glance at him, raised his teacup, and took a sip as if he had not seen the other man's outstretched hand.

Being ignored as well, Stanley awkwardly withdrew his hand.

Sonia pretended to be not aware of Stanley's embarrassment and continued talking to Samuel smilingly, and meanwhile, she was secretively observing Angela.

She put on a coquettish smile and said, "Young Master Fisher, why don't you introduce this beauty to us?"

Samuel replied simply, "A friend's daughter."

Angela lowered her eyes and took a light bite of the crab bun in her hand.

Sonia revealed a cunning smile as if she understood something, then moved her eyes from Angela, and continued chatting with Samuel.

Sonia was a social woman who was good at initiating a conversation and displaying her humorous and warm personality in all kinds of topics.

In comparison with the woman, Samuel's performance was rather cold, but that did not dampen her enthusiasm at all.

Angela sat quietly and listened to their dialogs, which were either about business or their intersected social contacts.

The girl was unable to join the conversation and could only munch on her bun in silence.

Stanley, who was ignored by Samuel and could not join the ongoing topic, felt somewhat embarrassed.

Though he was not a big shot in Norlan City, he had never been cold-shouldered like this.

He tried to chime in several times, but Samuel's icy treatment made him feel helpless.

After a few attempts, Stanley gave it up.

He sipped his tea and focused on Angela, who was sitting across him, and he was immediately stunned her beauty.
