Chapter 8 Who Gave You Confidence
Hathaway was not afraid of Abby, and she immediately confronted Abby with her beautiful chin.
When Growing up, Abby wanted to prevail over her and Ashley om everything, but she and Ashley were always better than Abby. Abby wanted to imitate Ashley's modesty and gentleness, but she also wanted to imitate Hathaway's natural and unrestrained manner. Finally, she became a person without her own characteristics.
They confronted each other for a while, and Abby suddenly changed her expression. After she glared at Hathaway, she said softly to Leon.
"Sorry, I'll go to the bathroom."
Then, she left in a hurry. When she left, her hands were still covering her stomach.
After Abby left, Hathaway sat down in Abby's seat unceremoniously. Meanwhile, she pulled the lower hem of her hoody down to cover her legs.
It was really cold.
If it weren't for showing her long legs in front of Leon, she wouldn't have to torture herself like this. People said that men liked the women with white skin, beautiful face, and long legs. She had made great efforts to make herself attractive to Leon.
Leon Davis, sitting opposite of her, raised his eyebrows and glanced at her movements.
"Are you feeling cold?"
Hathaway hoped to shrink herself into her hoody. After hearing his question, she answered with trembling teeth,
"Yes, my legs are going to freeze off..."
Hathaway wished that she had said it so pitifully that he might lend her his coat to cover her legs. But he gloated and said,
"You really deserve it."
Hathaway, "..."
He spoke so viciously, so it was why he didn't have a girlfriend at such an age.
The man teased her and then asked,
"Aren't you afraid of your cousin coming back?"
Hathaway stroked her hair near one ear, showing a proud smile
"She wouldn't come back in a short time."
Leon took a sip of coffee gracefully.
"What did you do to her?"
He had already affirmed that she had done something, so Hathaway admitted it very frankly.
"I just gave her a little laxative."
Abby also worked in the Taylor Group, and Hathaway asked Barry to figure out a way to add something to Abby's drinking water, so things became like this.
Leon leaned back into the sofa behind him. His long legs overlapped, and he looked very lazy. He looked at her with his dark black eyes.
"Do you just want me to sleep with you? Why do you keep appearing in front of me?"
What he said was too straightforward, so it made Hathaway feel caught off guard. Her ears turned slightly reddish. Her fingers were clinging to the lower hem of her hoody and she answered reluctantly,
"I want you to help me and the Taylor Group, but I can't let you suffer a loss for helping me free of charge. So, I have to let myself appear directly in the presence of you."
With this, Leon's lips showed a mocking radian and what he said was cold and ruthless.
"Who gave you confidence and made you feel that you are so valuable?"
Leon almost humiliated her by saying this, satirizing her bad reputation. Even though Hathaway was shameless, she couldn't continue to flatter him honestly for a moment.
Her beautiful face, which was somewhat arrogant, became a little shy. She was biting her lips silently.
Leon stood up with his coat in his hand, lowered his eyes and glanced at her coldly.
"This sentence is from you, some people can't be teased or slept casually because you can't bear this responsibility."
Leon's warning echoed at the ears of Hathaway word by word, and then he stepped away indifferently.
Hathaway instantly became decadent like a deflated balloon.
She failed again.
Did Leon Davis really love men? Otherwise, why didn't he show any reactions? She not only showed her waist and back but also showed her legs now.
