Chapter 7 Destroy Leon Davis's Blind Date
"Barry..."
Hathaway stretched out her slender white fingers and tapped on her desk, asking Barry casually,
"I have a question. Since you are also a man, why do you think Leon Davis keeps single at this age?"
Barry answered seriously after thinking.
"It should be that he has never met a woman whom he really likes."
Hathaway shook her head and denied his answer.
"I wonder if there is any problem with his function?"
Barry, "..."
Hathaway cocked her head and went on talking.
"Or...He likes men?"
Barry, "..."
"Boss, I just forgot to mention the fact that his date is your cousin, Abby Taylor."
In order to interrupt his boss's increasingly outrageous thoughts, Barry could only reveal more great news.
Hathaway almost jumped out of her office chair.
"What? Abby Taylor?"
"Why didn't you say it earlier? What time is their blind date?"
As she spoke, Hathaway took out her makeup mirror to refine her make-up.
"I was still hesitant to do damage, but now I have to go."
Abby Taylor was Tom Taylor's daughter and she was one year older than Ashley Taylor.
The relationship between Hathaway and Abby was very hostile. Even if Abby's blind date today was not Leon Davis, Hathaway would try to screw it up after knowing it, not to mention it was him.
At three o'clock in the afternoon, Hathaway appeared in the coffee shop where Abby was dating Leon on time.
Different from her capable and experienced image in the company this morning, she wore a loose white hooded sweater, denim shorts and a pair of simple canvas shoes. In the chilly early spring, she showed her long and straight legs without reservation.
She was very young, and after she dressed like this, she looked like a student in the ivory tower.
She looked very beautiful and charming.
Leon had seen her heavy makeup at the banquet last night and was now looking at her clean face. He involuntarily thought of a verse which was "The West Lake looks like the fair lady at her best. Whether she is richly adorned or plainly dressed."
Some people could always become arrogant by virtue of their beautiful appearance.
The so-called being fearless by virtue of beauty should be to describe her appearance.
Hathaway naturally came to their table in the corner. She stood there and her hands were in her sweater pockets. She looked at Leon discontentedly, but her tone of voice was charming and intimate.
"Mr. Davis, you just touched my waist last night but you are sitting here on a blind date today. It seems a little bad for you to do so."
Leon lowered his eyes and stirred the coffee in front slowly. He just pretended that he didn't hear her nonsense. He didn't even look at her. He was wearing a black shirt today. Against the extreme cold color of blackness, he looked even more heartless.
Sitting opposite of Leon, Abby Taylor, dressed in a dignified and beautiful skirt, stared angrily at Hathaway.
"Hathaway! You are really shameless!"
Hathaway raised her hand to wipe her face and then smiled.
"I naturally know the shame. But Abby, I don't know how many times you have had cosmetic surgery on this face. Isn't it you who is shameless?"
She deliberately distorted the word "shameless" to refute Abby, which not only scolded Abby but also unceremoniously exposed Abby's plastic surgery in front of Leon. It directly made Abby tremble with anger, but she couldn't think of the right words to argue.
Besides, Leon Davis, whom she admired, was sitting opposite, so Abby couldn't say bad words to scold Hathaway regardless of her image as before. Therefore, she could only grind her teeth and glare at her.
