Chapter 7 Super Hot Guy

"Sorry, Linda, change of plans. The welcome dinner for Mr. President has moved ahead from the end of the month. Can you come over this afternoon for some preparation work?"

Linda certainly agreed. After some more explanations, the other party hung up the phone.

...

At 2 p.m., Linda arrived on time.

After going through rigid security checks, she finally made it to the entrance of 99 D.C. Street.

Usually, this place could only be seen on TV and was now close at hand.

The thick, black, wooden door was inlaid with the number 99 in pure gold. Made with standard six panels, the door had gold flower decoration on its head, which looked solemn yet lively.

Majoring in design, Linda also knew something about architectural styles.

At a glance, she knew the door representing the face of the USA was designed in a typical Georgian style. It adopted Baroque curves and Rococo motifs which fell into the category of Renaissance classicism.

A sudden surge of curiosity rose in her. What was the new master of the USA behind the door like?

"Linda!"

There came the familiar female voice again when a young woman in a black suit trotted up.

"Hello, Nancy Cooper, Secretary of Mr. President. We've communicated this morning over the phone. Julie Canning, our Image Management Director, is on a business trip and has entrusted me to greet you." The woman said.

Out of professional habit, Linda immediately glanced at Nancy for an overall picture of her style.

Nancy looked elegant. Her features and temperament were all above average. On her nose bridge was a pair of black-framed glasses. On her body were a black business dress and a white shirt. Her hair was neatly coiled up into a somewhat old-fashioned bun.

In Linda's view, she should be about the same age as her. But because of her professional attire, she looked overly mature and serious.

They shook hands.

"From the first to the third floors, we have conference rooms and archive centers. On the fourth and fifth floors, we have the staff offices. The sixth floor is Mr. President's exclusive office area. The office of the image management team is on the same floor, not far from Mr. President's Office..."

While briefing the layout of the place, Nancy led Linda to the elevator.

As the administrative center of the USA, this building gathered countless top minds.

Employees were walking by and greeting Nancy quickly.

Linda noticed that they were busy yet orderly. Tacitly, everyone maintained his professional and efficient working pace.

They walked into the elevator already loaded with a few people.

Although they met for the first time, they greeted Linda with enthusiasm.

Linda felt warm in her heart.

The moment when the elevator door was about to close, a group of men in black suddenly got in.

"... Mr. President!"

"Hello, Mr. President!"

Those in the elevator instantly reacted. While greeting the man, they stepped back, pushing Linda to an inner corner.

"Hello everyone, thanks for your hard work."

A pleasant, steady, male voice came over. His words might be simple but tickled people's hearts.

Not a fan of politics, Linda had devoted herself to Birch Maple.

Back during the presidential election, she was staying up to design her works for the Valentine Award nomination. Therefore, she knew nothing about the newly elected president.

Like a nympho, Carrie once mentioned it to her that the new president was a super hot guy.

It was common for Carrie to adore someone. Once she liked a new TV drama, she would immediately change her idol. The men of her dream, her beloved, her sons, and godsons were too many to count. Linda only took it that she changed her idol again.

Nevertheless, she was a little curious about Carrie's taste this time.

Unfortunately, those men in black were so tall and dense that her sight was completely blocked.

She turned back and inadvertently got a glimpse of Nancy's slightly rosy cheeks.

Wow... looked like Carrie was not the only one who got infatuated!
