Chapter 1 Unique Blood Type

One night in Washington D.C, the capital of the USA.

The executive corridor on the 20th floor of the Imperial Dynasty Hotel was still boisterous.

This was the best spot to overlook the night view of Washington D.C...

Linda Marley was sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. The urban neon lights outside were glamorous, but she was in no mood to appreciate them. What the doctor told her in the afternoon was still ringing clear in her ears.

"Miss Marley, we've reviewed the medical report and confirmed that your blood type is the rare Kidd!"

"The scientists haven't done enough research on this blood type. As far as we know, men with this blood type are stronger than ordinary men and boast outstanding hematopoietic function."

"Although women with this blood type are easy to conceive, the percentage of hemolytic reaction after pregnancy is 100%, which will result in miscarriage."

"To avoid the hemolytic reaction, you could only marry a man with the same blood type! But according to the data from the blood bank in the USA, there are only a few cases, so the chance is slim!"

All desperate, Linda had to drown her sorrow in beer.

That was so sad, but she didn't commit any sin.

Her mother, Lisa Marley, had common O-type blood. Could she inherit it from her dad who died in a car accident when she was two years old... cough!

The beer was rich in foam. When she gulped it down, the foam surged and choked Linda. Out of reflex, she swung the bottle.

A parabolic spurt of the foam came out and spilled on a passerby...

Linda was struck dumb because the man was spilled from the right shoulder to the left foot.

"I'm so sorry!" She quickly took out a piece of tissue to help him wipe it off.

"No." The man rejected.

Along with his concise word, a gush of cool scent assaulted her nostrils. Linda then noticed a bandage that wrapped around his wrist.

"S... sorry, sir, I didn't do it on purpose." Linda stepped aside and apologized again.

Still expressionless, the man glanced at her face with distant and indifferent eyes.

"It's okay." Following his simple reply, he turned away.

What an aloof man! He was icy.

Linda snuffled, ready to sit back down when she heard a shout from behind.

"Yo, Jason's in the house!"

Following the voice, she looked over and saw a bunch of men gathering in a corner. A man in a floral shirt was beckoning with a smile.

The man walked over and sat with them.

Only then did Linda see his face clearly.

His features were masculine, and his nose bridge was high. His pursed thin lips accentuated his air of unchallengeable authority.

His amber eyes were penetrating and deep. His eyelashes were extraordinarily thick, and the curly angle was perfect. They looked sexy and seductive.

Linda couldn't help swallowing. He was hot...

But the man looked dejected. There seemed to be something on his mind.

Keen in senses, he felt her gaze and immediately glanced over.

Linda stiffened, hastened to turn back, and sat upright. Then she beckoned to the bartender for a glass of lemonade, ready to relieve the intoxication and go home.

The corner was noisy. Those men were talking about the election that just concluded.

The competition in the general election was intense. In the end, Sam Reed, the current president, stood out and won another term of office.

"Forget it this time, Jason is going back to Britain tomorrow!" The man in a floral shirt was all swanky the last second but then shouted blusteringly, "Ah, what happened to your hand, Jason?"

"Didn't he just tell you? Just a small wound, don't make it fuss!" Someone laughed.

"What do you know? Jason is different from us! Ever heard of the Kidd blood type? Rarer than panda blood. He's wounded and shed blood. How would he be the same with people like you!" The man in a floral shirt fired back.

In her seat, Linda was struck dumb.

That man had the same blood type as her!
