Chapter 32 President, your woman is in danger.
After looking at her painting, the professor nodded faintly.
"Good. You are talent and you will make progress if you listen carefully. Forget about it if it has nothing to do with learning, and time will dilute everything."
"I understand. Thank you, Professor."
Anne knew the professor was euphemistically reassuring her, and he should have heard her lace news.
In the next class, she listened intently instead of thinking about Nick. The class was over soon.
After the professor left, she took out her phone and called Lucy Collins, but Lucy turned off her phone.
Being worried, she packed up her desk and walked towards Lucy's dorm room to see what was wrong with her.
It got late, and large trees of the campus boulevard were with thick branches and leaves, casting a green shade on the ground and shading the sky from the light, which made the sight unclear.
"Hi, Anne!"
As she was almost to get to Lucy's dorm room, her shoulder was suddenly tapped.
Anne turned to see that it was Alison Emily who was Lucy's roommate. Although they were in the same class, they were not very familiar.
"What's wrong?" She asked detachedly.
"Lucy told you to go to the top of the dissection building to find her." Alison Emily said fiercely.
"Why was she there at this moment?" Anne asked curiously.
"She was rejected by her crush, the boy whose major was clinical, when she expressed her affection to him this afternoon. She was so sad that I couldn't persuade her to come back. She said she wanted to see you."
Alison Emily was extremely serious, urging her, "Go quickly. The dissection building is so far away, and it will take you half an hour to walk."
Lucy's crush was indeed from the clinical major, and he was a student union cadre who managed the anatomy room, where Lucy would occasionally go to help disinfect it.
She was so stupid. She should find a more romantic place for her confession!
"Okay, thank you." Anne turned to leave.
"You're welcome. We are all classmates, so it's only right to help each other." Alison Emily said weirdly from her back.
Anne glanced back, smiled politely at her, and turned toward the direction of the dissection building.
Anne took a few shortcuts and hurried to get to the anatomy building at about five o'clock. She didn't think much of it and went in. Thinking that the top floor was on the tenth floor, she walked to the elevator just to press the button, but she saw a note posted on it.
The elevator was in maintenance. Did not ride. It's dangerous!
She had no choice but to take the stairs. When she reached the tenth floor, it was already dark.
It was quiet in the hallway as if there was a very soft whispering sound which was faint and mournful in the vague, and Anne's scalp immediately went numb, and a chill rose from the bile.
"Lucy, Lucy..."
Anne stood at the mouth of the stairs and called out a few times, "Are you there?"
There was no one.
The whole building was dark, deadly silent, and unusually eerie. Anne walked hard, and her footsteps was infinitely amplified, snapping on the heart.
"Lucy!"
She shouted as she walked, her voice echoing in the darkness.
It was so quiet that she felt so overwhelmed for an instant, and a boundless panic overturned her. She ran quickly to the entrance of the stairs, and wanted to go back.
But she was here now, and she didn't want to leave Lucy alone.
Alison Emily said that she was crying and fainting in the toilet, then she should go to the toilet.
Anne came to the women's restroom at the end of the hallway. It was quite dark inside. She flicked the switch but the light didn't come on. It appeared to be broken.
She didn't dare to go inside and stood in the doorway and called out, "Lucy..."
"Hmm."
A dull female voice came from the innermost compartment of the grid.
It didn't sound like Lucy's. Perhaps it was because that her voice changed because she had been crying for too long.
Anne walked directly to the toilet in the innermost one, and pushed the door, only to find it was locked inside. It seemed that Lucy was here.
She knocked on the door with a raised hand.
"Lucy, open the door and come back with me. It's getting dark. You know I'm scared of the dark."
Zee...
The door opened slowly.
"Heh heh..."
A woman in a loose white pajama dress, with her hair spread out, stood in front of Anne in a ghostly manner. Her black hair covered her face and she laughed coldly, which was like a female ghost.
"Ah..."
The visuals were so shocking that Anne was scared out of her mind, yelped, and ran quickly.
Several ghosts appeared out of nowhere, ghostly blocking her way, and the atmosphere was eerie.
"Who are you and what do you want to do?" Anne asked in horror. It was too silent that her voice was particularly clear.
"The ghosts were silent, eerie, and came closer in every step.
Anne trembled backwards, and as she retreated to the innermost compartment, a hand reached out violently from inside and yanked her inside, making her fall to the ground. The toilet door was shut quickly and she was shut in it.
"Let me out!"
Anne scrambled to get up from the floor and pulled the door desperately, but the door seemed to be locked and couldn't be pulled.
Her heart sank to the bottom and she realized she had been tricked.
She thought she was a low-profile person and had not made any enemies, so who was going to mess with her?
"Let me out of here and stop pretending!" She forced her composure and shouted to the outside, "If your behavior is founded by the school, you will be expelled!"
It was quiet outside. No one was paying her any attention, and she vaguely felt that danger was closing in on her.
Poof! Suddenly, something was thrown in through the gap below and just smashed into her feet. It was cool and soft like the skin.
"Ah!" She jumped in shock.
After a few moments, seeing no more movement, she slowly picked up the thing and came to look at it carefully.
My God, it's a broken limb! "Help..."
Anne let out a tearful yell, and as soon as her hand shuddered, the broken palm slammed into the back of her foot again, and she kicked the broken palm through the gap without a second thought.
She was on the verge of collapse, leaning against the wall and panting heavily. Her body was cold and sweaty, and her heart was pounding violently. She had a feeling of being out of her mind.
Crackle, pop!
Suddenly, a deafening explosion sounded above her without warning.
She flew away in shock, covering her ears and jumping straight up.
Looking up, a string of flaming firecrackers was thrown in from above, exploding incessantly, blasting the green silk dress that covered her body. The smell of gunpowder permeated around.
Taking advantage of the light of the explosion, she saw that all four walls of the toilet were painted with horrible skeletons in red paint, and a large word...
"Kill."
"Let me out. Let me out!"
She was frightened to beat the door desperately, finding for the first time that the school's toilet door was so solid.
"Who can save me?"
Allen!
The man jolted into her mind and she pulled out her cell phone, trying to dial his number, only to find that it didn't have his number in it at all. It had been deleted by herself.
Nick.
Anne frantically dialed Nick's number, and the cheerful music came through. The phone was connected, which gave her a little hope. She listened to it in her ear with infinite expectation.
After a long wait, the phone was finally picked up...
