Chapter 44 - Sham

Sham walked into the room and closed the door then laid her head on the door, closed her eyes so tight and breathed heavily. Tears came and escaped her eyes. She could not hold it any longer. She laid on the bed and sobbed bitterly. Maybe she wasn't ready, maybe it was too early for her to just be in another relationship so quick. What made the situation worse was the fact that she had a baby now. She didn't plan for that yet even though she wanted it. Sham felt helpless and pain. Her beat friend had turned aganist her and made her look like the bad guy. She was just protecting what's hers, is bad to? For the first time in her life Sham felt lonely and confused and wished she should have listened to her mum maybe she was always right after all. The one chance she made a decision for herself without her mum interfering was just making things even more difficult and she hated every bit of that. All those thoughts raced her mind and she knew she wasn't ready for all this. She then took her cellphone and decided to call her mum. Maybe after all she had the answers to her questions and thoughts and maybe she was the solution for her life. The first ring made her nervous and she breathed heavily. "Hello honey." Her mum's voice said through the phone and her heart beat increased. 'Maybe I should not tell her.' she thought. But she needed someone to talk to. "Hey mum."

"Are you okay sweet heart I have been trying to reach you but nothing, are you still mad at me?"

"Of course not mum I had issues that's why I called too." She took another deep breath and tried hard to relax. "What's the problem."

"I was sick in hospital this whole week mum." She said hesitatingly. "What! What's the problem, you should have said. "Mum I'm pregnant." Sham said then sighed. She had the effort to say that to her mum though. There was silence and Sham checked her phone to see if her mum had hunged up, she wasn't ready to repeat the words again. She just didn't have the effort to say that again. But she was still on and that made her wonder. "Mum."

"It's Dennis' child?." She asked. 'I I wish.' She thought. "No, it's another guy's child, I've been seeing someone after Dennis left me mum, though it has not been serious to me." She breathed then went on giving an explanation. Why was she explaining her life? She thought. "He wants to have something serious with me but I was just having fun and he was like a rebound but I am now pregnant for him."

"Does he know you are?" She heard her mum breath from the other side. "Yes mum, he's a good guy, he took me to his house, I'm now living with him and mum he's great and pretty serious especially now that he knows we have a child."

"Do you love him?"

"I think I do love him mum but I'm not sure, I'm just trying to figure out all that. But I think about him so much and he has just closed up the thought of Den."

Silence reigned again for a second then a deep breath and a sigh from her mum followed. "What does he do for a living?"

"He has his own business, owns a classic hotel here."

"Ooh I see, your father won't like this but it's fine I'll talk to him." She said. Sham smiled a little. "Mum their is another problem with Jecinta."

"What problem?"

"She kinda likes, I mean she loves Amal too and I didn't know she does, at least I'd let her be with him and mum she's mad at me and has been avoiding me, worse she keeps throwing insults on me." Her mum was silent for a minute again. Sham was getting worried and frustrated. "I thought she had a husband." She said. Sham knew her mum was disappointed with her big time. She didn't know how to fix anything. This time she felt crocked.
