Chapter 42 - Sham
Three days later
Sham sat in the passanger seat as Amal drove the car. Silence filled the car and each of them looked like they were in their own world. Sham wanted it get home faster and rest. She had spent a week at the hospital, under a tight boring diet. She had also spent most of her time sleeping and she was not that kind. She hadn't called her mother yet for days and she knew her mother was getting worried. To top it all she was pregnant and she didn't know how to break the news to her mum. 'Mum I'm pregnant for Amal, a guy I met at the bar while getting wasted to kill Den's thoughts.' She thought then smiled at the corner of her mouth. Breaking the news was the hectic part of everything. "Sham, I wanted to tell you that, I decided you'll be living at my house so that I can have a closer eye on you in case anything happens." Amal broke the silence. Sham's thought hurried back to what Amal was saying. "Amh...okay." She answered. She wasn't ready and prepared psychologically to have a man next to her all day and night each day and night and that made her think of marriage. Did Amal have plans of marrying her or was he just taking his responsibility. Above all was Sham ready for marriage after all that happened with Dennis. "I have also informed Ben to go e out your position at work because I don't want you to work hard and get our baby stressed."
"What!" Sham said her eyebrows raising and her eyes piercing hard into Amal's eyes. "That's my source of income Amal, plus I work to keep myself busy and productive in the society."
"I know and that's why I decided to give you a job at my hotel. Where I can watch you all day long and if anything happens I am near and close to help." Amal said. Sham had no more words she was speechless. He cared for, he cared much more than Sham imagined. She knew she wasn't ready to have Amal deep in her heart but she had to try and figure it out. "What position have you given me?" She asked. Amal looked at her and smiled. "My personal assistant, you'll see when we go there on Monday." Amal said and kept his eyes fixed on the road. "What about my house and my stuff, it's still there."
"I took care of all that."
"What do you mean?" Sham asked tilting her body to look at Amal. He was handsome and any woman out there would fight to have him. He had every qualification of a good man but Sham never considered richness and Amal was damn rich. But one thing about him he never showed it off and Sham liked him for that. "I took everything that's yours there and took them to my house and informed the landlord that you are moving out. He told me to pay arreas for that month and I perfectly did."
"Thank you so much." Sham said.
Few minutes later they arrived at Amal's place and he parked the car and they walked into the house.
"I've been waiting for you Amal.."
