"You must be kidding me....." Jecinta said staring at Sham listening to her heartbreaking story. It was written all over Sham's face how screwed up she felt. The two were sitted at the cafeteria for lunch having french fries and juice. This was the only time the two best friends were able to meet and talk because having that kind of a conversation at work would just bring no concentration considering the work load they both hard. Sham and Jecinta worked in Eastview Company limited as an accountant and a human resource clerk. "Girl I couldn't just believe what my eyes were seeing...so I just had to end things with him." Sham said sipping a gup of juice from her glass. Jecinta on the other side took a bite from a french fry and then raised her head to face Sham immediately after her statement. She then broaden her eyes and her cheeks moved. She always looked funny when suprised. "Wait a minute..what do you mean....you cancelled the wedding?" She asked then took a sip of juice. "Yes I had to I can't get married to a cheater and a liar never."

" Are you listening to yourself speaking right now Sham...you are damn 28 years in the next two years you will be thirty..have you thought about that."

"Does age matter..infact you know what Jecinta I am done with loving... I'm done with men all I just want right now is to get a baby and be a single mum..I don't want to deal with men ever again in my life."

Jecinta looked at Sham in manner that suggested she was disappointed in her. The two went on eating and silence filled their table. Sham had made a decision after thinking about it through the weekend on having to get married and she was certain. She had had many episodes of heartbreaks and she was done. She was done dating and keeping up hopes of getting married having a nuclear family. "So what about your mum?" Jecinta asked keeping her focus on the meal in front of her. Sham was still silent. "And everyone you had invited for the wedding...it's two weeks from now..." She took a gulp of juice and stared at her as she focused on her food. Jecinta could tell she was messed up by this Dennis-Sandra issue. "I'll just talk to my mum and get all the lecture she gives me...then I'll just have to tell everyone the wedding was cancelled because of some unsorted issues."

"Don't you think you and Dennis can sort this issue up and just get married Sham." Sham couldn't just get what Jecinta and her mum we're always worried about her getting married. She felt prime and quite younger than her age and this gave her the confidence and the urge to take things slow in her life. Her mum had controlled her life made her choose decisions that never impressed her and she was so mad about all that. This time more than ever she wanted to make her own decisions and just figure out what to do with her life and take charge of everything. "Jecinta I am done with Dennis...if you just want to know that he was just joking with my emotions...I caught him in the act on Friday afternoon and up until today, Monday he hasn't called to explain or apologize."

"Ego and pride is going to kill you one day...you just don't get a man with all the qualities girl.. I am married and my husband is faithful yes but what about responsibilities, I take care of every single bill in that house. So just call him and make up things with him." Sham thought of the years she had been with Dennis. The relationship was quite perfect and she always felt happy and contented. She had dreams of getting married to Dennis and having kids for him. But ever since he got a job he had maintained a distance with her both physically emotionally and sexually. She couldn't remember when last she had sex with Dennis and for a moment she felt stupid. "Young lady I'm waiting."

"Waiting for what?"

"Call him." Jecinta said looking at her. Sham sighed. "Never ever.." she then looked at her watch. " Pay the bills we need to go back to work." She said feeling disappointed with her friend's comment.
