Chapter 37 Backfire

After Laura Green left the room, she hurried into the elevator. She didn't want people to bump into her embarrassment.

Just as the elevator door was about to close, a group of people walked over with a tall man. The originally spacious elevator was filled with people, and Laura Green was crowded into the corner.

During that period, she heard a few men talking in a low voice. After a while, the elevator reached the first floor, the door opened, and the mermaid ran out.

Laura Green came out at the end, slowing her pace.

When she walked out of the gate, she saw that the familiar Rolls—Royce was still parked by the road. Nathan Hill was standing beside the car and waving to her. Laura Green hesitated for a moment. She knew that Paul had seen her.

Nathan Hill quickly opened the car door. Laura Green greeted him and got into the car.

Paul William sat in the car, his suit was straight, and his deep gaze looked at her up and down.

"Who did you eat with here?" He asked.

"To my family!" Laura Green looked at him and replied.

Originally, she thought he would ask her how to behave like this, but after that, he did not say anything.

Laura Green was already familiar with her second appearance at Paul's office. She did not ignore the shock in Lily's eyes when she saw her, even though she was quickly covered up.

"Go to the mall to buy her a set of clothes." As he took off his jacket, he pointed to Laura Greenand said to Lily.

"Okay." Lily nodded, looked at Laura Green again, and turned out of the office.

Lily had just left, and there was a knock on the door. Paul William looked at Laura Green who was standing on the side and said, "Go and clean up in my lounge first."

Laura Green nodded, naturally knowing that she could not disturb his work.

It was also familiar to enter the lounge. She could vaguely hear the voice of Mr. William talking to others.

There was no change in the lounge. On the big dark blue bed, she walked over to sit on the edge of the bed and looked up to see the shirt she had worn on the hanger beside the wardrobe.

This reminded her of everything that happened here last time. For the first time, she had a close contact with a man.

However, she did not intend to repeat the same trick. Doing the same thing twice would make people feel bored, especially in the face of a thought—provoking man like him.

That's why when Paul pushed the door in, he was seeing Laura Green sitting down by the bed with a book on her lap.

"I'm not letting you wash it first!" He frowned as he saw her still wearing the dress that had a big dye on her chest.

Laura Green stood up and set the book aside.

She smiled indifferently. "It's okay. I'm going to do it anyway."

As she said, the clothes that had clung to her body had already dried up.

Paul William looked at her and did not say anything. He passed the bag in his hand, the clothes Lily had just bought back.

"Thank you!" Laura Green took the bag and turned into the bathroom.

Moments later, the sound of water crashing in the bathroom. Paul William walked to the window and lit a cigarette. The smoke filled the room and she could not see the expression in his eyes.

Laura Green quickly came out with the bag in her hand, but it was filled with the dirty clothes she had changed.

Paul William wiped out the cigarette butts and walked over.

"The clothes fit well," he said as he looked at her.

Lily's eyes were pretty good. The orange—pink floral dress with a waist just matched her youthful vibe, and she looked youthful and pleasant.

Laura Green smiled unnaturally. It was a good fit and very beautiful, but the price on the tag was amazing!
