Chapter 19 Gossip and fermentation

It was already late at night from work and returning to London Park. There was no car in the yard and no lights upstairs.

Laura Green went upstairs and went back to her room to take a shower. She was lying on the bed, and the surroundings were very quiet, which made her brain become especially clear.

She first thought about the part—time job that Julia Miller told her, and then in her mind, there was an unconscious scene of Paul William and Alice Smith together.

Previously, she could live here with peace of mind because she didn't know that there was another woman. However, now, inexplicably, she felt a little worried. ? What should she do after that?

Laura Green fell asleep, dreaming all night and feeling a headache when she woke up the next day.

After washing up, she went downstairs and Tia brought breakfast to the table. Laura Green picked up the newspaper on the table and flipped it over to the entertainment version.

This should be the first time that Laura Green had been on the entertainment page since she was following him.

After a night of fermenting gossip, the scandal had evolved to be fake.

Paul William, the CEO of TOTAL, the heir to the William's consortium, and the owner of the management company Alice Smith signed back to.

The amount of information was huge. Laura Green was stunned. She did not notice that the male lead in the news had come downstairs and stood beside her.

When she found out, she was obviously startled. She thought he hadn't returned last night.

Mr. William's expression was a little serious. He looked at the newspaper and then at Laura Green.

Laura Green closed the newspaper and did not say anything. She thought that no one would be willing to have their privacy slashed, especially for a high—ranking person like Paul William.

But this was the result of being infected with a female celebrity!

Before breakfast, Paul William's phone rang several times. He did not answer. Inthe end, he simply shut down.

Before long, the landline rang at home. Tia went to pick up the phone, then looked at him and said, "Sir, it's from the hospital!"

Mr. William immediately stood up to answer. When Laura Green saw him listening to the call, his eyebrows frowned.

After hanging up, he turned to look at Laura Green and said, "Come to the hospital with me!"

Today, instead of driving his Bentley, Paul William drove another Land Rover in the garage.

When they arrived at the hospital, Sean Lake was waiting for him outside the ward.

He looked at Laura Green, then looked at Paul William, and said to him with a self—seeking tone, "Follow your grandfather, he can't be stimulated here!"

As he spoke, he pointed to the location of the heart.

Paul William nodded.

When he entered the ward, the room was in a mess. Laura Green saw the newspaper she had read in the morning.

The old man was leaning on the pillow, his chest rolling.

Hearing them coming in, he turned to look at them. His expression was very harsh. He pointed to the newspaper on the floor and said to Mr. William, "I'll ask you if the man in this newspaper is you!"

Although Paul’s grandfather was old, his momentum was still present. His eyes were especially sharp.

When he looked at the newspaper, he saw no expression on his face and admitted, "Yes!"

"Very good!" Paul’s grandfather sneered. "I dare to act as my grandson!"

After all, he suddenly turned his head and picked up the teacup on the cupboard by the bedside. He threw it at him and it was unexpected. He did not mean to escape.

Laura Green hardly thought about it. Her body could not help but stop.

Fortunately, the tea in the cup was not hot. It was just a blow on the shoulder, and the cup crashed to the ground.
