Chapter 5 Encounter in restaurant
Hearing the words, Lillian White immediately understood, but he even called his child a scorpion!
Under his contemptuous eyes, Lillian White's eyes were full of coldness. She stubbornly straightened her back, glanced at him with a proud attitude, and said with coldness.
"Don’t worry. I haven't been bored to the extent to get trouble." She didn’t want to pay any attention to him, but went straight out.
Looking at her figure that quickly disappeared into the night, the eyes of Jesus Au had a cold light, which was deep and dangerous.
The moon and the stars were bright. A black BMW was driving at a constant speed on the road.
Sitting at the back seat of the car, Lillian White’s mind was full of words from Jesus Au, “I want you to marry me!"
Was he really serious?
She recalled the expression of Jesus Au at that time. Although he was laughing, his expression and gaze were extremely firm, and there was nothing like a joke. So... Was he serious? If it was true, what was his purpose of marrying her? Lillian White wrinkled her good—looking face, with her mind tangling with the purpose of Jesus Au.
After a moment, she shook her head to let her brain run out of messy thoughts.
No matter what his purpose was, she would never compromise with him so easily!
A flash of firmness appeared in Lillian White’s bright eyes. She opened the bag and wanted to take out her mobile phone to find someone for help. She suddenly came across the outermost inspection sheet and recalled the problem about the child.
Child, what could she do with it?
Her cold hand trembled and licked on her abdomen. Under the dim light, the beautiful face of Lillian White was filled with deep sadness.
She was only twenty—two years old. She didn't want to have a baby so early. Moreover, this child was Jesus Au’s, so she couldn't keep him.
But why? Thinking of killing this child, Lillian White was inexplicably sad.
"Dad, I am back." Lillian White closed the door, but did not hear his father's response as usual.
Put on the slippers, Lillian White went into the living room and wanted to discuss with him about another plan. Usually, the father would sit in the living room watching the news, but she did not see her father in the living room.
"Dad." She put down her bag and went to the study room. She still didn't find her father. "Dad, where are you?" Lillian White called and went upstairs.
It seemed that he was not at home.
Lillian White went upstairs and rummaged through it. She still couldn't find her father. A feeling of uneasiness rose from the bottom of her heart. She stepped up and walked down to the bathroom downstairs. When she opened the bathroom door, and after seeing the faint figure on the ground, she was scared and pale.
"Dad!" she screamed, and quickly stepped forward to lift him from the ground. "Dad, Dad, wake up, wake up." She eagerly called, flapping her father's face, only to find his face pale. There was no blood, and the body was cold and stiff.
The fear of restlessness filled the heart of Lillian White, and Lillian’s heart became twisted. The tears turned around in her eyelids, and her brain was even blank. She then remembered that she should make a phone call.
An ambulance arrived soon after the phone call.
Outside the emergency ward, Lillian White fidgeted and walked back and forth. With the pale face, it seemed that she couldn’t support herself at any time.
Her mother died at a young age, so her father was her only relative in this world. If something bad happened to him, she really didn't know what to do... As she thinking about it, two lines of hot tears rolled from the corner of Lillian White’s eyes.
She didn't know how long had gone through until the door of emergency room opened, Lillian White immediately rushed up.
"How is my dad?" She wrinkled her face and looked anxiously at the doctor who came out from the inside. The worry made her face pale to a transparent level.
"There is a lot of bleeding in the brain. fortunately, you send him here in time," The doctor calmly said,” We are preparing, but we must do the surgery as soon as possible, and you will need to sign your name later."
The doctor's sentence instantly dragged Lillian White into the abyss.
"Brain bleeding? How could this be?" Her father had always been robust, and he had never had a serious illness for more than a decade. How could he suddenly have cerebral hemorrhage?
The doctor explained, “The patient's mood had a turbulent change, which caused blood pressure to rise and the blood vessels to rupture." After leaving this sentence in a hurry, he turned and left.
A heavy feeling of guilt and self—blame poured into the heart of Lillian White. Tears once again smashed her eyes like the fog. She looked at the operating room with red light, and her heart was so painful that it seemed to be stabbed by a knife. Her tears could no longer restrain in the eyes.
It was all because of her! Everything was because of her.
Because of her, the company’s reputation had plummeted. Because of her, her father who had always been healthy had a cerebral hemorrhage.
Thinking of her father on the operating table, and then thinking of White Group which was in a helpless situation, Lillian White was so sad that she was desperate to die.
Crying and crying, she suddenly thought of Jesus Au.
If she agreed with him, would all the things be solved? Thinking of this, her original firm belief began to shake.
She had already lost her friendship and love, now she only had her father. If she could save the company and rescue her father, then she didn’t care about anything!
In the bright afternoon, in the prime location of the city, a large office building up to 60 floors was made of tempered glass, and the sun shines vertically on it, which made it like an eye—catching diamond.
Au Group, 59th floor, CEO's office.
"I request everyone to give me a complete report on this quarter. The more detailed your report is, the better the result will be." The low and rigorous voice showed up in the big office. Behind the desk, Jesus Au was in charge of various departments.
