Chapter 21 Ellison stands at the top of the food

chain in the social life

***

"Miss Jones is apologizing to you now."

The man's voice was neither unfriendly nor indifferent, but Sage Eudora felt as if something was pressing down on her, making it hard for her to breathe.

She lowered her head to look at Ellison Davis, and accidentally met his black eyes, his bottomless eyes bringing with them a sense of coldness.

Seeing that she didn't say anything, Ellison Davis released her hand. He bent down and handed her a bottle of red wine that had just been open on the table. "Go and tell Miss Jones that it's alright."

He asked her to tell Miss Jones that it was all right, but he handed her another bottle of wine.

Sage Eudora had no idea what he meant, but she still received the red wine. Holding the wine, she walked in front of Brenda Jones. "It's alright, Miss Jones."

Brenda Jones stretched out her hand to take the red wine. Without waiting for Sage Eudora, she directly raised her head to drink it.

Sage Eudora was stunned. She had never seen someone drink like this before.

In no time, she understood what Miss Jones meant.

Brenda Jones finished drinking, smiled at Sage Eudora, and her eyes fell on Ellison Davis once again, "President Davis — —"

Ellison Davis didn't say anything, only giving her an indifferent look.

Brenda Jones stiffened and hurriedly turned around to leave.

Sage Eudora still stood there, looking at Brenda Jones's fleeing figure. At that moment, Sage felt a little weird and worried.

"Have you learned it?"

The man's voice suddenly sounded from the back, causing Sage Eudora's entire body to freeze.

Sage Eudora did not dare to move when the opponent's aura was coming down from above. She could only stand there stiffly.

"Sage Eudora?"

Seeing that she didn't speak for a long time, the man suddenly pulled her towards him.

Two of them were close to begin with, but with a tug from him. Sage Eudora directly bumped into his chest.

Subconsciously, she raised her hand to block between the two of them. When she raised her head, she met with that pair of black eyes.

"I, I..."

She opened her mouth and only managed to utter two words after a long while, "I will."

He let go of her and turned around to look at Carlos Edward and Jeffery Williams, who were sitting on the sofa watching the interesting show.

Sage Eudora was startled, but quickly reacted and followed him.

As she walked out of the door, she saw the empty bottle that had fallen on the floor.

She raised her head and looked at Ellison Davis who was in front of her, only feeling that her palms were covered in sweat.

This was indeed the Law of the Jungle in this world. Ellison Davis stood at the top of the food chain. He didn't even need to say anything as the other side would take the initiative to slap his face.

He asked her if she had learned it.

What could she learn?

She was someone who kneeled at the very bottom of the food chain. Even if she were to remain calm, she would occasionally be stepped on by the people above.

The car stopped in front of the villa, and Sage Eudora followed Ellison Davis out.

She reached the third floor, and subconsciously wanted to return to her room. The man walking in front of her suddenly called out to her, "Come up."

Ellison Davis lived on the fourth floor. If he told her to go up, the result was obvious.

The man's voice was cold, and there were a few commands in his cold tone that were directed at her.

Sage Eudora's face turned slightly pale. She raised her head to look at the man who had climbed two steps higher than her. She bit her lower lip, lifted her leg and followed him up.

Sage, who had walked no more than 20 steps, felt as if all her strength had been sucked out of her.

The door to Ellison Davis's room was a fingerprint one. She stood behind him, watching him raise his hand and press it.

The door opened. Sage Eudora had the thought of fleeing and resisting for the first time on earth.
