Chapter 8 Indeed one girl to miss
Zara had already forced her into the corner before Nina could figure out what she was going to do next.
The incident happened yesterday was originally a business within the Green family, but now, the entire Arlington City knew that Nina had attempted to seduce her cousin-in-law and even Steve Kent in the public!
In less than one day, she had become a slut!
Looking at the pictures of the so-called "truth", Nina held her phone tighter and tighter.
However, she knew that she couldn't lose her head. the more she panics, the more pleased Zara would be!
"I know."
She said indifferently and directly hung up the phone.
Not wishing to receive innumerable phone calls, Nina simply turned her phone off.
When the deputy head of her ballet troupe came to her door, patting heavily on her door, Nina was just about to order takeaways.
Nina thought that Zara had come to make trouble again, and only after hearing the voice did she discover that it was Irene Hill, the deputy head of the dance troupe.
In a hurry, Nina walked over and opened up, "Deputy head, how did you...."
Before Nina could finish her sentence, Irene scolded her to her face, "What's wrong with you? Not picking up your cell phone after so many calls! Do you want to dance or not? If you don't want to dance anymore, you should have said so, but don't you waste other people's time!"
Nina calmly waited for her to finish scolding before she spoke, "Deputy head, what is it about?"
Seeing that she was still calm and elegant after criticized for so long, Irene was even more furious.
But thinking of the dinner party later, she could only bite her teeth and hold her temper, easing her look a little: "There's a dinner party tonight. You know about Albert Sterling of Bright Home Group, right? If our ballet troupe wants to go overseas, we have to secure the investment from Mr. Sterling this year! As you know, Mr. Sterling especially favors your performance. How could we leave you out of today's dinner party?"
Saying that, Irene sized her up, "Hurry up, go change something nicer and follow me to the Pure Spring Restaurant."
Reflecting Albert, the General Manager of Bright Home Group, inside her head, her eyes fell on Irene and her brows furrowed, "Where's our head, where is Ivy Well?"
Irene and Ivy were foes for real. If Nina had asked this in normal time, Irene would have changed her face with anger. But today was different, she could only bear it patiently: "Mrs. Well has other business to attend to in Birmingham. If you dare to offend Mr. Sterling tonight, even Ivy would not be able to save your ass!"
Knowing that the party tonight was like a lion's den, Nina just couldn't back out as she had worked so hard to get into this ballet troupe, which was her career as well as her dream.
Without any choice, she changed her clothes and put on some light makeup. the housecoat she was wearing was replaced with a black capri dress.
Irene took a look at her. Even if she was a woman, she had to admit that Nina had a perfect figure with a pair of long legs, indeed one girl to miss.
"Dressed all in black? Never mind, there is no time to change again!"
Saying that, she pulled Nina out of the apartment.
As soon as Nina pushed open the door of the private room in the restaurant, she immediately received several sharp glances.
Ignoring all of them, she lifted her leg and walked in.
Albert's eyes lit up as soon as he saw her, and he waved hurriedly, "You've finally come, Nina! Come on, I've saved a seat for you!"
With that being said, Nina had to walk over to him.
As soon as she sat down, someone started pouring wine for her.
As a poor drinker, she had hidden the fact from most people.
After gritting her teeth and drinking a few cups of wine, she made an excuse to leave.
The meal had just started, which made no one think about stopping her.
However, as soon as she left, Albert followed her out of the private room.
She had only taken a few steps when Albert reached out his hand and pulled her aside, "Nina, where are you going? The washroom is not this way!"
