"What?! Eva ran away?" Anna spoke as she was told by her maid, she felt her heart was going to burst after she heard the horrible news.

"Now what are we going to do?" Peter, Anna's husband, and Eva's father spoke, he had placed a hand on his head.

Today was Anna and Peter's Callisto's daughter's marriage with the business tycoon, Daniel Hughes.

Daniel belonged to a big family his father Raymond Hughes owned the traditional family business that has been running for close to a century while his mother was a member of a royal family.

Both his parents held immense power, wealth, and influence, and he was supposed to get married to Eva Callisto, whose family came second to the Hughes but, the Callisto was nothing against Hughes.

Daniel and Eva had met during college and fell in love with each other.

And after a lot of years of being in a relationship, they decided to tie the knot.

Eva's parents Anna and Daniel were very happy it's like they have a lottery and they eagerly started to prepare for the wedding.

But today at the wedding they got to know that their daughter Eva had run away with the money and jewelry given by Daniel and his family.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Anna spoke as she cried, "Honey Daniel and his family will kill us, shall we run away?"

Peter spoke, "Have you gone mad Anna no matter where we go they will find us we have to find some other way to get out of this mess, maybe we should tell them."

Anna suddenly stood up and said, "Tell them what? that our daughter ran away?"

"What?!" Anna and Peter were shocked and scared to their core when they heard the voice of Daniel as he stood in front of them glaring at them.

Their heartbeats stopped when they saw him walking closer to them, "What the hell did you say? where is Eva?"

Anna gulped and hid behind her husband, who spoke, "Mr. Hughes we are sorry but..."

Before he could complete his sentence Daniel moved away and searched each and every room but nowhere he found Eva, he felt his heart being crushed by her absence again and again and in the end, he felt miserable when the realization dawned upon him that his bride, the love of life had run away from him.

He ran back to Anna and Peter and grabbed Peter's collar while Anna whimpered, "WHERE IS SHE?"

Anna cried, "We don't know, Daniel, please we have no idea where she is so just stop."

Daniel also let go of Peter's college and placed a hand on his forehead, if this news got spread on the media that Daniel Hughes's wife had run away then it will make him and his family a laughing stock in front of everyone.

His family reputation will be gone and his parents will also be disappointed, what should he do now? From where is he supposed to bring a bride now?

"What's going on?" another voice was heard in the room and Kaira walked in, Kaira was Eva's friend and was close to her. Kaira was a beautiful tall woman with black eyes and brown hair, she was tall and had pale skin, her body was slim and she had a melodious voice.

"Where is Kaira ?" She asked and suddenly the maid who had told them about Eva's absence spoke, "She was with you last right?"

Kaira frowned, "What the hell are you trying to say?"

Suddenly. Daniel thought, that one time Eva had mentioned that he doubted that Kaira had liked him.

And Eva loved her best friend too much, she couldn't see her sad, and the last time it was Kaira who had seen her, then could it mean that Kaira had something to do with Eva's disappearance?

Anger, invaded his nerves as he walked towards her and harshly held her hand, his perfectly shaped face was close to hers, "Where is Eva?"

He asked and Kaira's eyes widened, "How will I know where she is, isn't she your bride?"

He tightened his hold on her hand and spoke with gritted teeth, anger was clear in his eyes as well as hate, "I asked where the hell is Eva?"

Kaira also yanked her hand back and spoke, "I don't know! are you deaf? can't you hear?"

"How dare you talk to me like that?" he said.

"And how dare you talk to me like that? just because you can't find your bride does not give you the right to be a jerk to everybody around, stop being a bitch and find her."

Anna and Peter's eyes widened after they heard Kairatalking like that to Daniel.

Daniel's chest heaved up and down as his face had gone red as he glared at Kaira and so was Kaira's.

Kaira doesn't like the attitude of this man who thinks that he is at the top of the world.

The maid spoke suddenly, "The madam had spoken to me one time that she was hesitating to marry Mr. Daniel because she thought that you loved him and she didn't want to lose you."

Kaira frowned deeper, "Was Eva mute? she would have told me if this was the case but no she didn't, and shut the hell up, get lost who the fuck even gave you the permission to stand here LEAVE!"

This was the reason why Daniel had always hated her, she was filled with attitude and arrogance she thought that she was at the top of the world, always being overconfident.

"She told the same thing to me as well," Daniel said, and suddenly Kaira sighed and held her head.

"Listen here and listen good there is nothing about you that I like There is not even a single thing about you that makes me think that you are a human you are nothing but a dog maybe that's what runs in your family genes."

Daniel was beyond mad now, he can tolerate every and anything but someone badmouthing his family is something he has never tolerated and will never tolerate.

He suddenly grabbed her hand, "You have made a blunder today...and you will pay for it, I am going to make you regret insulting me..."

"And how are you going to do that?" she asked.

"I am going to marry you."
