“What are you trying to say, your Highness?, a human child made your wolf calm?”.

Jeremy asked with so much interest.

“Do you think this child will be the one to lift the curse?”.

“I'm not so sure, I can't tell whether the child was a boy or a girl”. Atlan replied, feeling down cast.

All he was thinking about now was how he could find the child again.

That night, when he became violent again, he went to the place where he initially saw the human woman, but she was no longer there.

He never should have let her go, Atlan regretted turning away from the woman.

It could be that they were in danger, what if she was killed with the baby?

This made Atlan more furious, he growled with so much anger.

Atlan ordered his soldiers to search for the human woman in the whole of the kingdom, but they came back with no news.

This only infuriated him more. He wanted to see that child again, he wanted the child in his castle, so she could help him calm his anger, but no matter how much he searched, he couldn't find her anymore.

As the witch had said, years and centuries passed Atlan by, but he was still a cursed beast.

Times had changed, so also the world as changed.

A young boy he was who had lost his parents at a young age, and in his anger for revenge brought him the cruelest of all curses.

He never knew what living a normal life was like because he was trapped in his beast form for centuries.

The first beta who helped him had died centuries ago, but he left his sons to take over from him.

He made them swear an oath to always be with him, regardless of what happened, and over the years this beta served him in the same way.

“Your Majesty, do you think those werewolf committing the crime are from our kingdom?”

Atlan was far lost in thought, he was thinking about the same thing, in recent times, there have been incessant killings in the human village and the master mind was said to be a monstrous wolf who had lived for centuries.

It was obvious that whoever was carrying this rumors, was trying to make Atlan the culprit, but who could that be?".

No matter how hard he thought about the issue, nothing came to mind.

He had lived for centuries, that he has become legendary. His life had always been of the same routine, though, now, it was more adjustable because with time, every beta who served him brought him new ideas.

This was a modern world where things are different, the only thing that was the same was his kingdom and his forest.

Almost all members of his kingdom had deserted their lands, he didn't blame them though, who would want to be around a beastly king who did nothing but kill and destroy.

He was tired of living, but death was far-fetched. The curse was still very much active.

Now people dress differently, Atlan couldn't help but notice the weird way in which his beta was dressed.

“Why did you tie yourself up with a rope?, are you tired of living?”.

At first, his beta was confused at the question, suddenly it struck him that the blue eyes of his wolfy king was focused on his neck.

Ezra traced the direction of his eyes, and it rested on the tie on his neck.

“Oh, this is a tie, your Majesty, it's worn in a shirt.”

Atlan looked at Ezra with less interest, he wondered who was crazy enough to make such things as cloths.

The world has changed in so many ways, even if he didn't get to go out, his beta and some trusted allies had conveyed their wealth into something called a company.

The first time Ezra brought him what he called a laptop, he got very violent that he smashed the laptop, simply because he saw people in it who were staring at him.

If not that Ezra told him that they weren't real, he had thought of finding every laptop he saw and smash them.

Ezra headed this company and according to him, the company was a modeling company which was given the name Atlantic.

Atlan asked why he had to use his name on this so-called company, but Ezra told him that was the only way to prove to others that he owned the company.

They also converted some of their wealth to build houses, which Ezra had shown him through the years.

Seeing how beautiful the buildings looked made him interested, it didn't mean he liked the way they did other things, by the way.

From time to time, Atlan's mind shifted to the child he met centuries ago.

He knew that child must have Long been dead, since it was a human.

He sometimes felt regret, but he tries not to dwell on the past, the only thing that annoyed him now was the fact that he had been mistaken by many as the big black wolf committing atrocious crimesin the human world.

Strangely, he had never set foot out of his territory.

Atlan had lost hope about finding the human who could lift his curse.

The only person he strongly believed that could have made him calm was that little child.

Ezra had shown him pictures of this supposed beast, and to Atlan the beast they are tagging as him was too small compared to his wolf.

At present, the photos he saw about wolves are looking less bigger than he was, maybe because he was a Lycan.

Over the years, he had never heard about Lycans, for they were said to be extinct

"Your Majesty, I'm hoping you get to see your human mate soon, so she can help you regain your human form.”

Ezra said with a sad-looking face.

“I don't think the curse has a cure “.

He had lost hope already, he always told the betas to stop having the hope of him ever getting back his human form.

This was a gift the moon goddess granted them since her first creation was killed by a human thinking he was a mere beast.

For this reason, she created the wolf to possess a human appearance, which was generally accepted.

Meanwhile, there was an Alpha king in the far north of America, who had heard stories about the beastly Lycan king.

He thought the best way to lure this wolf out was to make him the beastly wolf who infiltrates the human village.

He thought that by doing this, the wolf will be forced to get out in the open for lycans detested the defaming of their personality.

Alpha Reginald is the Alpha to Red Rose pack, he is known for his brutality, and his ambition to become the most powerful werewolf king.

He had long been told of the story about the king that he had even sent some reliable investigators to get him more information about this legendary Lycan kingdom.

The story of Atlan had wide spread in the whole wide world, that even writers wrote stories about him.

Sometimes when Atlan reads about these stories he just howled in laughter

Some stories make him a monster with a horn, others a monster who only eats the liver of children.

Sometimes reading those stories about him made him wonder who was feeding them all these lies, or maybe they just exaggerated to make people to be more scared of him.

There was a movie he watched about him, where he fell in love with a beauty, and became human again.

This was Atlan's favorite movie to watch, at the end of the movie, he would become deplorable, wishing that will be the end story for him.

But that was a fairy tale to him because he never thought that will ever be possible in his life.

He was used to the loneliness of his cold palace, the trees, and birds were his best friends, those who kept watch over him feared him.

For this reason, he can only isolate himself in his chambers, which was more like the dwelling of an animal.

Sometimes he watched his king sized bed, and wished he could lay on it, but that wasn't possible since he won't feel comfortable lying on it. He preferred the floor or the woods, since he had become a wild beast.

His meals came raw as hunted animals in the forest.

The human in him was far deep within the monster, he had become.

He could only communicate with his beta, besides that, there was nothing else he could do as a human.

He missed his human form, looking at his room, he could see the cloths he used to wear as a young Prince.

He was the most handsome in the kingdom, that everyone praised him, royals wished to betroth their daughters to him, for he was strikingly handsome and powerful too.
