Chapter 1 William, What's Wrong? With You?

"William Mills." Gail Smith squinted at the 1.9-meter-tall man in the crowd, and her red lips moved lightly as she said his name silently.

He wore a crisp white suit, looking tall and handsome. The indifferent man appeared cold, with the smiling crowd filled with joy, as if the wedding had nothing to do with him.

As if he were not the bridegroom of the wedding!

Gail gently stroked the not-so-obvious convex line at the back of her neck with her fingertips and withdrew her gaze casually before the man noticed her.

She put on a very envious look and admired the arrangements of the wedding.

For this million-dollar wedding, even a small bouquet had to be airlifted from Holland.

Not to mention other preparations, and the global live broadcast was necessary.

It was grand and gorgeous enough to make all women envy.

The bride was her half-sister Flora Bush.

Her cheating father, the mother and daughter who had betrayed and insulted her mother, and her poor mother, who had been ruthlessly abandoned after being stripped of her family property and eventually fallen ill and died...

Everything from the past appeared in front of her like a cloud.

Gail gritted her teeth, restraining the hatred surging in her heart.

Wait and see. Spoiling the wedding was just the beginning!

Turning her gaze to William, who stood out from the crowd, Gail curled her lips with a sweet and harmless smile and strode over.

"Hello, William, I’m Gail."

Gail was 1.7 meters tall, but she still looked small and delicate in front of the man.

She could only look up at him.

Her neck was a bit sore, and she felt agitated. Why was he so tall?

"What’s wrong?" William's voice was as cold as his expression, and his eyes were cold.

"I’ve admired you since I heard Flora mentioning you yesterday. I am so excited to meet you finally. So would you like to have a drink with me?"

Gail endured nausea surging in her stomach and pretended to be a silly and sweet girl with her eyes full of admiration.

In William's view, she was no different from any other silly girl around him in the past. He didn't pay attention to her at all. How could he be too vigilant? He just wanted to send her away quickly.

Gail, who was good at weighing up a person's words and watch his expression, immediately beckoned to the waiter and took two glasses of wine from the tray.

She deliberately turned sideways and exchanged a look with the waiter out of William’s sight.

"Thank you. William." Gail said with a smile and passed the wine glass in her left hand.

William didn’t take it. He picked up the glass that Gail was about to drink and took a symbolic sip, "I have something else to do. I’m going now."

He drank so little. How could it work!

Gail yelled anxiously in her heart. She gritted her teeth and stomped her feet and ran after him, "William, it's still a long time before the wedding begins. I'm bored alone. Can you accompany me?"

William kept walking and quickly kept a distance from her.

Gail ran to catch up with him. She was secretly annoyed, but she had to put on an extremely aggrieved expression of a silly and sweet girl, and she grabbed William's wrist jokingly.

"William..."

Damn, William's eyes were so scary!

They were so cold and sharp.

Gail almost turned around and fled to hide far away from him.

She was even more aggrieved, biting her lips with red eyes, "William, I..."

William didn't speak. He looked at her hand on his wrist.

Gail immediately let go of him knowingly and smiled cautiously, "William, no one here knows me, and I'm a little scared. Please stay with me for a while."

She was looking for a chance to let the man drink more, otherwise how...

William frowned and said coldly, "Go away."

How rude!

"William..."

Gail looked at William with a ‘bewildered and crying' face, and he looked even more impatient. He left her behind, but he staggered slightly at the moment he turned around.

"William, what's wrong with you?"

Could it be that the medicine was starting to kick in? Haha, that's great.
