Chapter 8 Plans for Her Child
"Grandpa, it looks like Nora really doesn't know. We should stop pushing her."
Brook spoke up and reassured her with his eyes.
"Yeah! Grandpa, it's not a big deal. There are so many of us. We can easily raise the baby, right?"
Ryan spoke up timely, and people's faces lit up.
"That's right, Nora, don't worry. When the baby is born, I'll teach him race, and he will become another world champion on the track."
Luther picked up the conversation and smiled at her heartily.
"Er..." Nora hesitated.
"I will teach him laws, and he'll be able to defend himself."
Vincent pushed his gold-rimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose and struck an attitude that the laws were the most powerful weapon.
"Er..." Nora hesitated again.
"Vincent, laws can't fix urgent issues. Nora, you should let us take care of the kid. We'll train him in the army, and he will be able to kick asses."
George swung his fists in the air, showing her that strength was the most reliable thing in this world.
Sitting next to his twin brother, Chase nodded in agreement.
"Er..." Nora felt helpless.
"Boors, violence is not fun. Nora, after the baby is born, leave him in my care. I'll teach him the methods to pick up girls. I can guarantee you that he won't have to worry about marriage. On top of that, he will never be fooled by women..."
Damian shot a contemptuous look at George and Chase before enthusiastically promoting himself.
"Er..." Nora was embarrassed.
"Nora, I can do it, too..." Ryan raised his hand and declared like a good student.
"Shut up, all of you. We don't know whether the baby is a boy or a girl yet. It's eight months away. Don't you think you're over anxious? Girl, I will take care of the baby."
Andrew interrupted and tried to intimidate them with a solemn face.
In a second, he turned to Nora and proposed with a broad smile.
"Grandpa..."
"Grandpa, how could you cut in line?"
"Grandpa... this is not decent..."
The six Conways raised the roof, dissatisfied with Andrew's selfish arrangement.
"Stop the noises before I lock you up in the ancestral hall. Learn from Brook, he is always quiet and peaceful.
Andrew looked around menacingly before laying his eyes on the composed Brook. Instead of getting involved in their topic, he just chatted with Nora.
"Brook, don't you want to have a plump nephew to play with?"
Ryan interrupted Brook and Nora incredulously.
"I do. Nora just left her child and herself in my care."
Brook beamed at his brothers and grandpa before leading Nora back to have a rest.
"Brook, that is contemptible..."
"Grandpa, look at him..."
