Chapter 3 Getting on His Bed

Taylor cowered barefoot. The bathroom was spacious, but there were no other things except for a big automatic bathtub and a sink counter.

As the footsteps approached, she hastily hid behind the door, took out a lipstick from her pocket, and smeared her face.

The man pushed the door open and got in.

From behind the door, she held her breath at the sight of his lean and strong physique.

The man suddenly halted his steps.

Taylor covered her mouth, not daring to utter any sound.

The bathroom was all quiet.

She must be crazy to come here and get on his bed last night!

Now she regretted it and feared losing her life.

She stiffened at his footsteps towards the back of the door. Her blood pressure soared as she got a terrible feeling.

The man came up, saw a woman covering her face, and frowned slightly.

"It was you?"

Her ears somehow found his cold voice pleasant!

She instinctively shook her head.

"Put your hands down!" His voice was emotionless.

Perhaps, the man wanted to see what she looked like. After all, he didn't drive her away and even had a lust for her.

While Taylor was struggling inwardly, the man suddenly grabbed her hands forcefully.

Her brows furrowed with pain, but she dared not utter any sound.

Her face was smeared with lipstick, and her hair hung down loosely. In a word, she was a mess.

In the moment of desperation, she somehow boldly lifted her foot to kick the man.

The man stepped back to dodge while still gripping her wrist. As he moved, Taylor lost her balance and lunged forward.

She bumped into his solid chest and felt pain in her nose. Soon, something warm streamed out.

She touched her nose and saw blood!

The man lowered his hand, saw the blood on her hand, and felt a dull pain in his chest.

That strange feeling attacked him again.

In the past few years, he had been bothered by a heart problem. At the hospital owned by his company, those experts checked him and studied his case thoroughly. Still, the cause was identified.

The tests showed that his heart was healthy and vigorous.

His anxious parents insisted on seeking the best medical care abroad.

Still, he was diagnosed as healthy, but his heart would throb irregularly regardless of his moods.

Whenever the disease attacked, he would feel as sad as losing the most important person in his life.

Just like the present.

Taylor paled to see him suddenly bowing and covering his chest.

She wanted to check on his condition, but the sense of crisis urged her to run!

After all, he was the owner of this hotel. In a moment, his special assistant would come.

She thought to herself and slipped away while the chest pain paralyzed him.

She rushed out to the elevator, descended straight to the underground garage, and fled out of the hotel.

Along the way, she kept her head low and covered her face under those surveillance cameras.

Her escape was surprisingly smooth.

She certainly didn't know that Claude had called Seth to suspend the searching.

When she got into a cab, she felt sore and limp like a deflated balloon.

Back at her house, she tore off the wig, took a shower, wrapped up her chest, changed into a men's outfit, and revealed her neat flowing locks. She was ready to go to work in Jones Group.
