Mia naughtily shouted into Dylan's ears with her hands folded, which made the man furrow his brows tightly.

Even so, Dylan ignored Mia. The woman was his wife. He thought it natural to take her back to his place.

"Take me home! Take me home! Do you hear me?"

Dylan maintained silence.

Witnessing Mia murmur in Dylan's ears, Ryan widened his eyes open in surprise.

Apparently, Dylan treated Mia differently from others.

Even when they were abroad, everyone knew that Dylan was a fearsome character.

Anyone who offended Dylan would end up in misery. Therefore, all those women who got a chance to keep Dylan company would talk to him in a tender tone of voice and try hard to please him for fear of losing the chance to make a fortune out of him.

However, Mia actually shouted in Dylan's ears and deliberately annoyed him.

On the other hand, Dylan's reaction to Mia was unusual too. Ryan initially thought Dylan would kick the woman out of the car regardless of her status. Even Joshua was ordered to get out and was left in deserted places with no other vehicles passing by many times.

This time, Dylan's performance was eerily different.

He did not ask Mia to get out or even lift his eyes.

After working for him over these years, Ryan knew Dylan's traits very well.

Dylan's silence meant that he disagreed with Mia.

He did not even lift his eyes, which implied that Mia would definitely be taken to Crescent Villa Area!

Ryan stepped on the gas and accelerated the car. In about five minutes, the black Maybach entered Crescent Villa Area.

Crescent Villa Area was a high-end neighborhood, of which all the residents owned high social status. A lot of people wanted to get a place here but got no chance.

However, it did not mean that Mia also wanted to live in the area.

Mia looked out of the car window and saw a three-story, classy building. Even in the darkness, the house's white appearance emanated noble airs, making Mia feel that she was not cut out for this.

Dylan got out of the vehicle while Mia did not move and felt irritated and aggrieved.

In Dylan's eyes, however, Mia's resentment was kind of adorable.

He walked around the vehicle, stopped in front of Mia, then raised one hand to pinch Mia's cheek, asking, "Honey, are you mad at me?"

Suddenly, Dylan placed one of his hands upon Mia's shoulder and landed a kiss on her lips.

The kiss was quick and light but left Mia's heart in turmoil.

That was not the woman's first kiss. It was Luke, that douche bag, who had taken Mia's first kiss away. However, Dylan's peck on the cheek made her blood boil.

Feeling somewhat dazed, Mia wondered what the hell was going on. Was Dylan too drunk?

The man refused to take her home and kissed her without warning. But was he really drunk or not?

Dylan smelled slightly alcoholic, but the expression in his eyes was clear and sober.

"Dylan, do you know what you're doing?"

Mia asked calmly after the heat in her face faded.

They agreed to maintain a distance. Mia did not want her relationship with Dylan to be intricate.

She was acutely aware of her own status and humble family background. Even if she became an award-winning actress, she was not qualified to marry into the Powell Family.

The Powell Family was the top family in J City. How could it be possible that they accepted a celebrity?

In the eyes of those wealthy and influential, an actress was nothing more than a performer or an entertainer. Bella could become part of the Powell Family not because of her identity as an actress but by her status as the Wilson Family's young lady.

Technically, there was still a gap between the Wilsons and the high society. But the gap was quite narrow.

However, Mia felt slightly confused. If Bella's father were powerful enough, how could he have allowed his daughter to become an actress? Also, how did Bella even need Mia's help to get that opportunity of performance?

That was a little bit weird.

Mia squinted her eyes and suddenly came back to her senses. She realized that Dylan looked at her with rapt attention.

"What's on your mind?"

Mia was the first woman whose attention was distracted in front of Dylan.

In contrast, other women were all fully attracted to Dylan when they were before him.

"I'm thinking about Bella."

Dylan rested his chin upon Mia's shoulder and asked curiously, "About what?"

Why was his wife thinking of her enemy?

Was he unattractive to Mia?

The strange feeling made the woman feel helpless. It took her a good while to suppress her pounding heart. She managed to answer, "Bella's family background is excellent. Why did she need the opportunity the teacher provided when she wanted to build a career in showbiz?"
