Chapter 4 A Fake Friend

Mia did not expect that there was a bigger surprise waiting for her.

Having made up her mind, Mia opened the invitation to see the address. The moment she opened it and saw the woman's name and photo, Mia could no longer hold back the hatred in her heart.

She was desperate for an outlet, but there was none.

"Bella, the bride?"

Looking at the picture, Mia felt that God was making fun of her.

Bella used to be Mia's good friend and roommate. They were also classmates at the department of performance. And if Mia had not given up the opportunity to participate in a talent show to Bella. The latter would not have become a popular actress.

Mia witnessed Bella's rise to fame step by step but never regretted or felt jealous.

It was true that Mia gave Bella the opportunity, but that was all. Without Bella's own efforts, she would not have risen from an unknown actress in a short period.

Therefore, Mia never hated or regretted it.

But at this moment, she nursed hatred inside.

She felt like a fool, a fool who was blindfolded and kept encouraging others!

"Bella, what a good friend you are, good enough to steal my boyfriend!"

Mia burst out laughing abruptly. As her tears were dried up, she could only laugh at herself.

"Bella and Nova. Please wait for it. I will attend the wedding punctually with a big surprise." Mia thought to herself.

"I'll let you know that I'm not a coward. In this world, there are only things I don't want but nothing I can't get!"

The wedding would be in a week. The day before the event, Mia spent a lot of money on renting a gorgeous dress.

Although it was a rental dress, it cost Mia a lot of savings.

Wearing white gloves, Mia had a large bag on her arm that did not match the dress. The bag was bulging, and no one knew what was inside.

Mia's face was oval, her chin was sharp, her nose was high-bridged, and her lips were naturally reddish.

There were waves of wisdom rolling in her two big eyes.

Above those eyes, her brows were spindly, which made her sagacious countenance appear slightly gentle.

Her figure was curvaceous, giving off a natural, enchanting vibe. Anyone who saw her would think she was a young lady from a wealthy and influential family.

She handed the invitation over to the usher, and the latter greeted Mia with a bright smile and let her in without carefully checking the invitation.

Mia smiled back. But the smile she flashed was not straight from the heart but was tinged with sarcasm.

In Mia's eyes, the usher was also one of those who could only see money in their eyes.

Mia entered the venue with a smiling face but did not go straight into the church. Instead, she entered a bathroom.

Just after Mia left, a Maybach slowly pulled up in front of the church.

A man in black stepped out of the vehicle under the protection of his bodyguards. The man was about 1.85 meters high, his complexion was pale, and his features were delicate. And the dark-colored sunglasses on his nose made him look extremely standoffish.

The freezing smile upon his lips made the onlookers dare not cast a second glance at him.

The cold man was fearsome. Through the sunglasses, one could feel the sharpness behind the lens.

The man was in a black suit with a black bow tie. The moment he moved his long legs, those onlookers involuntarily gasped.

He was so cool.

Those young women on the scene were conquered in an instant. Upon hearing the gasp, Mia also turned her head to check who had brought about the mess and noise.

Mia glanced at the man indifferently and took her eyes off him quickly. However, the moment she withdrew her line of sight, she intensively felt that a pair of sharp eyes were landed upon her back and stung her.

But Mia did not respond to that.

She was here to revenge but not enjoy the masculine charm.

She did not care if that man was a stunner.

Mia decided to leave the scene to get rid of the man's gaze.

Mia moved swiftly to the bathroom while the man with sunglasses curled up his lips with interest.

Few people could resist his charm. That young woman was an exception. She moved her eyes off him after only one glance. The man wondered if his glamour decreased as he was getting old.

The man intuitively raised his hand to adjust his glasses. After fixing his eyes on the place where the woman had stood for a moment, he stepped into the church.

In the church, the wedding ceremony had begun.

Bella stood beside Luke, who was in a beige suit and standing in an upright position. Luke's short hair was slicked back, and he looked extremely handsome.

Those guests could not help but gasp in admiration. They thought that it was Bella's luck to marry a prince charming. Especially, Bella's friends in showbiz felt either envious or jealous. After all, although actresses lived in the limelight, few of them could really marry into a wealthy and influential family.
