Chapter 15 Advertisement
He took the pen from Leo's hand and raised his hand. As the gold nib moved smoothly and vigorously, his name was written.
Leo took the pen back and folded the folder.
Crossing his fingers in the front, he hesitated before speaking again, "Sir, the advertising department of the Honor jewelry series has submitted their plan and selected several internationally popular stars. This is urgent, and they're expecting your prompt decision."
"Mm." Chapman hummed and waved his hand as a signal for Leo to retire.
The man nodded again and walked to the door.
Chapman raised his eyes and happened to meet Rose's fervent gaze.
She clasped the armrest with her fingers and hesitated in her speech.
Her face flushed out of her anxiety.
Her greedy nature was fully exposed.
Chapman looked away and laid his eyes on Kelly's face.
As their eyes met, both parties got the hint.
"Wait a minute." Chapman slowly opened his mouth in a short while.
"Sir, what can I be of service?"
"Tell the advertising department that I have my plan for the ads."
"Yes, sir!"
After Leo retired, Chapman turned to James, "Mr. Clark, I wonder if Summit Entertainment is available for the ads."
"What? Really?" Rose bounced up from her seat regardless of dignity, "You want Summit Entertainment to undertake the ads?"
Chapman nodded.
Rose promised repeatedly, "Mr. Kent, rest assured, we won't let you down. Although Abby hasn't established herself in the global arena domestically, she..."
Her cloven hoof was fully shown.
"Rose!" James checked her in a deep voice.
"Please excuse us, and my wife hasn't seen much of the world." He turned his head and pushed the gold-rimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose.
"True disposition, not bad."
Kelly knew that Chapman was also talking to her.
The bait should be tempting enough for the fish to bite!
She hadn't expected that an advertisement worth 100 million yuan was enough to reveal Rose's true color.
Her curly eyelashes dropped, thus covering the sarcasm in her eyes.
"Summit Entertainment is a small company, so I'm afraid that the ads of the Honor..." James pretended to decline.
Shocked, Rose disregarded etiquette.
"Honey, what are you talking about? Although Summit Entertainment doesn't top the industry, our strength is evident. Abby is also a top talent in City W and even nationwide. If she features as the heroine, the beauty of the Honor jewelry series will be fully demonstrated."
"Well, Mr. Clark, just take it." He looked at Kelly, "Since the Kent family has got such a fine lady, the gift of greetings should not be frugal."
Chapman's message was clear. It was for Kelly's sake that the Clark family got the contract.
It was a bucket of cold water for the excited Rose.
Her enthusiasm was dampened by half!
Did a village girl even deserve it?
"Mr. Kent, thank you for your trust. Summit Entertainment will live up to your expectations!" Once again, James reached out to shake hands with Chapman.
Kelly gazed at James's back.
Obviously, he bent even lower this time.
Bootlicker!
"We've disturbed you for too long and should take our leave," James said goodbye as if he was afraid that Chapman would go back on his words.
