Chapter 2 A Chance Encounter

"What to do?"

"Get her! Damn, that's over one million yuan we're talking about!"

"Yeah, there are so many of us. Couldn't we beat a callow girl?"

Kelly hadn't expected Rose to spend a fortune to hire thugs. The woman didn't want her in Clark's house, thus the assassination.

Rose, it turned out you also knew fear!

While she was lost in thought, the remaining burly men attacked her at the same time.

Kelly shoved the man pinned down by her needle and turned around to deal with the gang.

She brandished her dagger and abruptly kicked one man.

Someone punched at her forcefully, and she bent down to avoid it. However, another man clutched the urn on her back.

Though strong, she was unable to attack the man behind her.

She couldn't get the upper hand.

Without further ado, she raised her hands and plunged into the icy river with the urn.

"Damn it, get that bitch, don't let her get away."

Growing up in the countryside, Kelly liked to play in the river in summer, so swimming posed no difficulty for her.

She held her breath and untied the knot from the front.

With the tension gone, she turned around swiftly and kicked the man accurately in the vital part.

The man covered his abdomen in pain.

In the nick of time, she opened her arms and swam forward like a nimble fish.

The cremation urn fell accurately into her arms.

Just then, those men jumped into the river one after another.

Losing no time, Kelly made another swift turn and swam towards the darker side of the river.

She swam for a long time and cautiously resurfaced until the noise was gone.

...

The sun in the cold wind didn't bring her any warmth, and her thin body shuddered constantly. She felt light-headed, and the view before her eyes became a white blur.

The urn was in the haven of her arms.

"Mister, mister..." An anxious cry suddenly assailed her ears, "Quick, call the doctor immediately."

Kelly slowly lifted her head, only to find herself standing in front of a resplendent private club.

A well-dressed old man was walking down the high steps. All of a sudden, his eyelids suddenly rolled, and the man fell backward.

Fortunately, a man wearing glasses was quick in reaction. From aside, he stretched his arm to the old man's back.

The old man's arms and legs were twisted and convulsing. His eyelids kept rolling up.

Oh no!

Something flashed across her mind.

Regardless of her sickness, she found by the steps a Roman stone pillar with exquisite reliefs, avoided the crowd, and gingerly put the urn down.

Then she bypassed the bodyguard who was calling the family doctor.

"Quickly lay him down flat!" She shouted to the bespectacled man who guarded the old man tightly.

With the sudden voice, the middle-aged man raised his eyes, saw a girl around 18 years old, ignored her, and snapped his gaze back.

He instructed the bodyguard, trying to carry the old man into a luxury MPV parked down the steps.

At that moment, the old man looked ashen. Veins were popping on his neck, and his teeth were clenched.

"Unbutton his collar quickly!" Kelly reached out, trying to go up.
