Chapter 3 Your Business is My Business

Martin knew about the party. In the morning, his assistant had briefed him about it. The host already sent him an invitation letter, and he hadn't answered. Since Victor suggested, he believed it was an opportunity tomorrow night, "Mm, I'll see you tomorrow night."

...

The following day, Elisa was discharged from the hospital. After saying goodbye to Cordy, she replaced her expired and lost cards in the bank before going back to her downtown house.

The house was bought two years ago when Elisa just came back from abroad. She didn't plan to live in Johnson's house and thus bought the deluxe house. A nanny was hired to clean it regularly so that she could move in any time she liked.

Unexpectedly, on the first night of her return, she was hit by a car after meeting her father and stepmother in Johnson's house. Then she lost her memories and married into the Jimenes family.

So far, she knew nothing about the car or the driver, but it was fine. She would figure it out, and they would pay.

Elisa unlocked the door via the password. The nanny was both surprised and happy with the return of the hostess. She had lunch at home and shopped for clothes and cosmetics in the afternoon.

At 7 p.m., Elisa went out of the door in a blue slim-cut dress and delicate makeup. In the afternoon, she asked Mia to have her car sent from a 4S store. Driving the car, she headed to the business party.

She did registration at the venue and walked into the party garden. Before she could look for her target man, an uproar came from the near distance.

Following the noise, Elisa looked over and instantly spotted Martin in a crowd. Given his strong aura, awful air, and high status, he was always worshipped just like this moment.

Before her eyes, Martin nodded his greetings to those all around. Many women tried to approach him, but Elisa didn't feel a thing as if they were a bunch of strangers. Then she looked away, turned around, and searched for her target in other crowds.

Martin greeted a few partners and completely ignored those women around him. Before he could take a glance at Victor in the near distance, he was suddenly attracted by a figure.

When the woman turned her head sideways, he was stunned by her side face.

Noticing Martin's look, Victor walked out of the crowd, stood beside him, and asked in a low voice, "What are you looking at?"

With the voice, Martin snapped back his gaze and collected himself, "Nothing."

At that moment, Martin was confused. The figure looked like Elisa. It was her side face, but she was not that slim. Was it an illusion?

Unable to figure it out, he had to ignore it and looked at Victor, "Let's go and find a place for a few drinks."

"Mm, let's go over there." Following his words, Victor and Martin headed to a quiet corner of the party venue.

...

Elisa looked through the crowd for a long time before finding her target.

"Mr. Lyons." Elisa approached the man and called out gently.

Steve Lyons just talked about the stock market with a few business elites. Hearing the voice, he turned around and looked over.

He was shocked to see Elisa. After a long daze, he asked excitedly, "Elisa... Johnson? Is that really you?"

He hadn't received any news from the little beauty for more than two years. Through his connections, he looked for her for a long time but failed. To his surprise, she reemerged herself.

The girl now looked even prettier and more charming. Her beautiful, clean eyes were still so attractive.

"You tell me." Elisa asked back deliberately and slightly curled up her mouth to smile at Steve.

Steve was carried away by her smile and believed in the fact. It was Elisa. His little beauty was back.

"It's really you, my little beauty." Steve said happily, and his demeanor became more frivolous. Slovenly he continued, "Come on, give me a hug."

Elisa knew about Steve's fopperies a long time ago and decided to fulfill his wish. After all, they hadn't met for over two years. A hug was reasonable.

They stretched out for a hug, and Elisa pushed him away seconds later. Not satisfied, Steve looked at her affectionately.

"When did you come back to South City?" Steve asked with concern.

"Recently." Elisa replied, not intending to correct Steve who mistakenly believed that she had been abroad the whole time. After all, in the past two years, she had been suffering from amnesia and living in pretty much isolation. She would rather not have come back.

"Are you free? Shall we talk?" Elisa asked.

"Very free." All obedient, Steve looked around, "Come to the grove with me."

Elisa knew that he was talking nonsense again. Instead of picking up the conversation, she nodded her head and followed him towards a quiet garden.

After the two sat down on the stools by the flower bed, Elisa put on a serious look and gazed at the man, "Steve, I wonder if I could use your help."

"We don't need such formalities between us. Your business is my business, and I'll definitely go all out." Steve then asked, "Go ahead, what is it?"

"I want to get Gorilla Group back but know nothing about its current condition." Said Elisa.
