Chapter 10 You Are Thinking Too Much

Aanisah knew clearly the functions of the Bureau of Civil Affairs, but she felt something was wrong if she just got there hastily.

"Mr. Wood, don't you think it's too fast?" Aanisah stood still, staring at him with her big eyes, but couldn't help building a high defense wall in her heart, "You want to apply for the marriage certificate so soon. Is this a trap at the very beginning?"

Andrew raised his brows slightly and looked at the girl up and down. For the first time, he looked at her when she was still normal, and he was taken aback.

Although she was not stunning, her beauty was hard to forget.

Even if the dress on her body was not worth much money and the style was low, it became different on her body. Her white skin looked more beautiful under the reflection of the red dress.

But that didn't mean that he would fancy her.

"Apply for the marriage certificate?" Andrew twitched his lips, and looked up and down at her, "Miss Brook, I'm afraid you are thinking too much."

"Isn't it what you are up to?"

"Have you brought your ID card and your household registration book?"

"No!" Who would bring those to attend someone else's engagement party?

"Then that's it?" Andrew glanced at her, looking disgusted, "Even if I lack women, I will not..." When he said this, he stopped and changed the topic, "Get in the car. I promise not to let you down!"

Seeing him with a serious face and thinking about the noble status of his family, Aanisah felt that he didn't need to make so much trouble to set her up, so she followed him in the car.

Neither of them spoke until the car stopped at the door of the Bureau of Civil Affairs.

Just as Aanisah wondered whether she should get off the car or sit here and wait, a familiar figure suddenly appeared in her sight. Seeing the woman being controlled by two men in black suits, Aanisah couldn't help but be stunned, "Mom?"

The two men escorted her and walked toward them. Aanisah couldn't help turning her head to Andrew and frowning slightly, "What do you mean by doing so?"

"Aren't you curious why this woman appears here?" The door opened, and Andrew stepped out of the car.

Aanisah followed him out. When her eyes fell on Bess's face, Bess was obviously surprised, but she still couldn't help but yell out.

"Aanisah Brook, you stinky girl. Where did you go last night? You almost got me killed by Mr. Smith! Do you know that? You..."

"If you don't want to die, just shut up!" Andrew frowned and swept at her. Under his powerful aura, Bess couldn't help but stop scolding. Her eyes toward Aanisah were with even more doubts, as if she didn't understand how Aanisah got such a "powerful" man by her side.

"Mr. Wood, here are all her stuff." One of the men handed a lady's bag to Andrew.

When Aanisah saw that Andrew took out a household registration book, ID card, and some forms from it, she frowned, wondering if Bess came to divorce her father because Bess was angry with what she had done?

But Dad was now abroad...

"Heh, you used to be like this?" Andrew turned to look at her.

Aanisah couldn't help but walk over to him after seeing his intriguing smile. When she saw her photo on the ID card, she couldn't help but freeze, "Why is my ID here?"

Andrew looked up at Bess, "Well, you have to ask her!" After speaking, he handed over the household registration book and ID card to his subordinate. His voice was faint but full of authority that could not be ignored, "Go and complete the procedures!"

"What procedures?" Aanisah looked at Andrew alertly.
