Chapter 13 Demand an Exorbitant Price

After leaving the clinic, Leon drove Hathaway back to her home. Since she was injured, they couldn't continue to have a good time together.

They didn't speak all the way, and the car was stopped in front of the only old villa the Taylor Family had.

As far as Leon knew, when the first batch of creditors came to collect debts after Hathaway returned home, she quickly sold all the other properties of the Taylor Family, including Kenny Taylor's, Ashley Taylor's and her own residences outside.

Against the backdrop of the dim streetlights, Leon turned to look at Hathaway in the car and said directly, "You have paid off the debts of the Taylor Group yourself. Since I've had sex with you, I'll have to pay you. What do you want?"

Leon was very measured in saying this. He said he would pay her after the sex, and it clearly delineated his relationship with Hathaway, which was only the simplest transaction.

Hathaway didn't like what he said very much. She casually raised her hand and picked her ear, secretly rolling her eyes at him.

However, she also had to admit that Leon's positioning of their relationship was very accurate and realistic. Could she ask Leon to fall in love with her after sleeping with her?

Since Leon said so, she didn't have to be hypocritical. She raised her charming little face, looked at Leon and said loudly, "I hope the Taylor Group can also participate in the Davis Group's recent old city reconstruction project."

Leon sneered without hesitation. "Your price is really high."

His expression obviously showed a look of disgust, and he almost told her that having sex with her was not worth so much money at all.

Hathaway didn't seem to be affected, and she still looked firmly at Leon, which showed that she must achieve this goal.

Leon felt very angry and smiled instead finally. His slender finger joints knocked hard on the steering wheel in front of him, and he used this sound to remind Hathaway. "Tell me who you can use in the Taylor Group. What can you do if the Taylor Group participates in the project?"

Now everyone in South City knew that, because of the sudden changes in the Taylor Group, many the employees in the group had left during this period of time. There were almost no people who could really be used from the top down to the junior staff.

Andrew Taylor, the current vice president, was the only competent one. But he was the son of Hathaway's second uncle, and he was the enemy of her. How could he help her?

Hathaway cocked her head and replied, "I am a ready-made person who can be used."

Leon squinted at her, looked her up and down and hissed, "You? All that glisters is not gold."

At this point, Hathaway couldn't stand what he said. She raised her hand and poked his strong arm, protesting, "Hey, we are talking business. If you turn it to personal attack, then you are wrong."

Hathaway thought that she was a talented woman, so she didn't accept the slander of Leon.

Leon glanced at her coldly and took out a cigarette. She could see how upset he was in the smoke.

"I can do anything, and I am not afraid of enduring hardships!" Hathaway was a bit more serious. "I urgently need to get a project to suppress my second uncle. Otherwise, he always uses the excuse t that I am useless to kick me out."

Hathaway's situation could be described as domestic strife and foreign aggression.

Tom Taylor, the second uncle of Hathaway, fought with her father Paul Taylor all his life. Later, the Taylor Group was handed over to Kenny, and Kenny continued to fight with Andrew. Now, when they finally sent Kenny to prison and Ashley had an accident, Hathaway came back.

Tom Taylor had made up his mind to drive her away. If it was the case, the three of them would be completely eliminated. And the power of the Taylor Group would naturally fall into the hands of Tom.
