Chapter 2 The Youngest Daughter of the Taylor Family

When Leon walked over, Nick was leaning back lazily. He said to Leon as he shook the juice in his cup.

"Have you seen Hathaway Taylor? I wonder how this girl became such a social butterfly in just one month."

Nick Jackson was a doctor, and his family forced him to attend the dinner. He had to go back to the hospital on duty tonight, so he could only drink some juice.

Leon took a sip of his wine, and his tone of voice was full of mockery.

"It's her nature. What's so strange about that?"

Every move she made in front of him tonight proved the rumor of her debauchery. So, wasn't it her nature that she was now living in men's circle?

Nick turned his attention to him curiously.

"You didn't like to talk about women before. What happened to you today?"

Leon was a famous man in this circle who was indifferent and not close to women. In other words, he lacked interest in any woman. Most famous and powerful men had long been surrounded by women.

He was the only one who had never married at the age of thirty-two, and he didn't even have a stable relationship.

Now, he was obviously evaluating Hathaway with personal emotions, and Nick couldn't help but be curious about it.

Leon gave a brief account of what Hathaway had just done, and Nick laughed after listening.

She never followed the common template, but her goal was extremely clear.

Leon couldn't help but frown after listening to Nick's tone as if he were very familiar to her.

"Do you know her very well?"

Nick shrugged.

"Unfortunately, I am the attending doctor of her sister."

Ashley Taylor, the elder sister of Hathaway Taylor, had been receiving treatment in Nick Jackson's hospital since she got unconscious in a car accident a month ago.

Leon had been reluctant to say anything, but Nick leaned over and whispered.

"I have a piece of information about Hathaway. Would you like to listen to it? This is about whether she is a virgin..."

Leon did not change his expression and refused completely.

"No."

He was not interested in knowing whether a woman like her was a virgin or not.

With this, Leon got up with his coat and asked Nick indifferently.

"Are you leaving or not?"

Leon came to this charity dinner with Nick tonight, and Nick got up immediately.

"Let's go, this is really boring."

Two handsome men left the hall after greeting the host of the banquet, which made many women at the dinner party feel heartbroken.

Leon was indifferent and noble, while Nick was gentle and cultivated. Leon's family background was the Davis Group with a century-old foundation in South City, while Nick was born into a family of doctors. They were the objects whom the ladies at South City pursued and yearned for in all respects.

At the gate of the hotel, Nick was about to pick up his car when he heard a familiar voice from behind him.

"Dr. Jackson!"

Nick looked back and saw Hathaway coming towards him with a smile. Nick could feel the impatience of Leon beside him. However, as a doctor, he could only be gentle when treating patients' families.

"Miss Taylor, is there anything I can do for you?"

Hathaway stood in front of the two men and thanked Nick very gracefully.

"During this time, my sister's situation has greatly improved. Thank you very much."

Nick replied politely.

"Don't mention it. It is my job as a doctor to try my best to treat patients."

With this, Nick took another look at the girl who was shivering with a thin evening dress in the night and asked kindly,

"Miss Taylor, are you leaving?"

Hathaway answered honestly,

"Well, I'm going to the hospital to see my sister later."

Nick didn't know how to reply for a moment. He would also go back to the hospital later. He could have given her a ride by the way. But before going back to the hospital, he had to send Leon home...

Obviously, Leon and Hathaway couldn't get along at all
