"Are you sleeping, Maybel?" Sanders's voice came from the phone.

"No, I just finished practicing the piano and was getting ready to take a shower." Maybel answered truthfully, then asked, "What's wrong? Did you call me for something?"

"Nothing, just... missed you." Sanders said.
